27M >$2.2M net worth with 97% concentrated in Nvidia. How would you diversify without regretting it?

I'm 27 with a >$2.2M net worth, about 97% of which is in Nvidia due to long-term appreciation rather than intentional allocation. I've been holding since January 2016, with a few small sell-offs along the way.

People have been telling me to diversify for years, but the reason my portfolio is worth this much today is because I ignored that advice. That's made it psychologically very difficult to sell, especially when the company has continued to execute so well.

Logically, I know having ~97% of my portfolio in a single stock is an enormous concentration risk. Emotionally, it's hard to sell something that has completely changed my financial life. I'm still young, single, have a solid income, contribute to my 401(k) and Roth IRA, and don't need to access the money anytime soon.

I'm meeting with my financial advisor, but I'd also like to hear from people who have actually managed highly concentrated positions. How did you think about diversification, taxes, and balancing future upside versus concentration risk? Looking back, would you have done anything differently?

Edit: Wow, this has really blown up. Thanks for all the advice, everyone. It's a lot to take in. I'm going to do my best to read all of the comments, though I can't promise I'll respond to everyone. I'll definitely take the feedback into account and discuss it with my financial advisor.

Depth Check on 440lb PR

I'm told I hit depth, but I'm not convinced. The angle's bad so it's hard to see the hip crease. Y'all think this would count in a meet?

Where can I find an air-conditioned BJJ gym in Manhattan?

I’m going around dropping into gyms and want to train on Thursday, but it’s going to be over 100 and I run hot. I already struggle to get through a 30min rolling session purely from overheating. The fans just aren't cutting it.

Anyone know of any BJJ gyms with A/C? I live and work in Manhattan, so it would be difficult to get to other boroughs, though I could do LIC if it’s off a subway.

An affordable drop in fee would be a bonus.

Do y'all think NY-12 is still going to be close?

Turnout in NY-12 seems hard to read right now. From what I’ve seen/heard, younger voter turnout and parts of the UES may be softer than expected, while older voters seem more engaged. The AARP poll also suggested older voters were more favorable to Micah, though that was specifically a 50+ sample.

UWS seems to be getting a lot of attention, but I’m curious how much the rest of the district; Midtown, Murray Hill, Gramercy, StuyTown, etc. ends up mattering today.

The rain may also lower turnout, though I’m not sure which voters that hurts most.

At the same time, Alex's campaign and volunteers seem to have been very visible on the ground, and I wouldn't be surprised if they netted in the triple digits of the undecideds, so I’m not sure how much the public polling or betting markets actually capture.

Do people here think this is still anyone’s race, or is Micah the clear favorite at this point?

Does the NY-12 race actually feel close?

It's the last day of early voting, the last public poll (excluding AARP) came out a month ago, and the race feels hard to read from the outside. For people following it closely or living in the district, what’s your read on who is leading going into Election Day?

I’ve noticed a pretty visible Alex and Micah volunteer presence around poll sites and in local discussions, though I’ve personally been seeing more Alex volunteers than Micah volunteers. Curious if others are seeing the same thing or if it’s just my area.

Do people have a sense of who’s actually ahead?

With early voting underway, are any NY-12 voters still undecided?

I've been a lot more invested in this congressional primary than I have any other election, and it's made me realize how little attention these elections get compared to presidential ones. This election is very close and there's still a significant portion of undecided voters.

If you're in NY-12 and still undecided, what's making the decision difficult? What issues matter most to you? Are you relying on certain metrics like endorsements, debates, policy positions, experience, or something else?

And if you've already voted, what made up your mind?

I'm genuinely curious how people in the district are thinking about this race now that early voting is underway.

NY-12 voters, what's the strongest case for Alex Bores vs. Micah Lasher?

I watched tonight's NY-12 forum and came away less certain than I expected. I've been leaning Alex, but Micah impressed me with how specific he was on implementation and legislative accomplishments.

For people who have followed this race closely, what's the strongest case for Alex and what's the strongest case for Micah? I'm particularly interested in concrete accomplishments, governing style, and ability to be effective in Congress.
