Come on, Jakks Pacific, would it really have been that hard to give Big a fishing rod?! Today at work I printed this AI-generated model based on my own drawing of Big's fishing rod, and, well, it didn't turn out too bad. It's a shame there was only red filament left to print it with, since the black and gray were already being used. Still, with a coat of primer and some paint, I think it could turn out pretty cool.

I also printed a gun for Fang, but the grip is too short and the trigger area broke.

I came across this bass on AliExpress for around €300. It’s a hot/deep pink 4-string P-style bass with a pearloid pickguard, a single split-coil pickup, a dark fretboard and skull inlays.

It immediately reminded me of Mark Hoppus’ old hot pink Blink-182 bass, especially because of the pink finish, pearloid pickguard and skull inlays. The resemblance seems pretty intentional, which is actually what caught my attention in the first place.

The seller is called DorJe Guitar Bass Store. They seem to specialize in custom/replica-style guitars and basses, but I haven’t been able to find much independent information about the quality of their instruments.

Has anyone here bought a bass from this seller? How was the build quality, fretwork, neck, electronics, etc.? I’m not expecting Fender quality for €300, obviously, but I’d like to know whether these are actually decent, playable instruments or just something that looks good in the pictures.

Alternatively, does anyone know of any decent Mark Hoppus-style replicas/clones? I’d love something similar to this old hot pink bass, but I’d also be very interested in a decent clone of one of his Jaguar basses. Basically, I’m looking for that Mark Hoppus/Blink-182 look without paying Fender signature or collector prices.

I’ve just finished creating a 3D model of the Remote Robot, that little mechanical gadget from the obscure Tails Adventure on the Game Gear. It was a small motorized robot used to explore remote areas and open up new paths, with a design that vaguely resembled Tails.

Since I don't have a 3D printer, I used AI to recreate what it would look like in real life.

For those who are especially dense and seem unable to understand what they read: the image I posted here is AI-generated. The STL available for download was modeled by me. It's the first 3D model I've ever completed, and it has plenty of flaws.

I thought it would be a nice idea to include an AI recreation showing what the model should look like once printed, since I don't own a 3D printer myself. That's the only reason the AI image is in the post.

And yes, I'm charging €3 for it. I don't think that's going to bankrupt anyone, and I think it's a fair price, even for a somewhat mediocre first model.

Today I received my second Tangle figure, and I couldn’t be happier.

That’s why I decided to share a couple of photos of my Jakks collection (opened figures only), along with a few Sonic items I have in my Sonic room. It might not look like a big collection, but living in the Canary Islands means I’ve had to import everything from the US. Because of that, I’ve often ended up paying scalper prices for figures that are much cheaper over there—like Tangle herself.

Still, totally worth it.
