Any ideas why my teen finance online course isn’t getting buyers?

I recently made an online course to help teens understand finance. My main target is the parents (as no teen would ever pay money for an online course). The idea is the parents would purchase this course for them then they would go through it together. I’ve had around 15-20 people that were excited to test the course and all gave great feedback. But when I started running ads on Facebook and Google, I have only gotten a single sale. Any suggestions or tips?

I built a financial literacy course for teens - looking for honest testers

Hi everyone! I recently finished building Next Dollar, a 90-minute financial literacy course designed primarily for teens preparing to leave home.

It covers paychecks, banking, budgeting, credit, loans, education costs, moving out, and investing, and includes interactive simulations throughout.

I’m looking for a small number of people willing to complete it for free and give honest feedback on the content, clarity, and overall experience. You do not have to be a teen—parents, educators, and other adults are welcome too.

Please comment or message me if you’re interested, and I’ll send you a free access code.

Full disclosure: this is a course I created and normally sell, but access is completely free for testers.

Teachers: would you be willing to test a financial literacy course for teens?

I recently built Next Dollar, a 90-minute financial literacy course for teens, and I’m looking specifically for middle and high school teachers to test it and give me honest feedback.

My long-term goal is to make it usable in classrooms, so I’d really value an educator’s perspective.

If you’re interested, comment or message me and I’ll give you a free access code.

Is the Jurassic Park River Adventure (Florida) drop bigger than Jurassic World Ride (Hollywood)?

Last year I went to universal in Florida and I swear the drop of the Jurassic park ride is bigger than the one in Hollywood. Is there any evidence of that? Or am I imagining things?

How do third-party educational programs get adopted by high schools?

I’m curious how schools decide to adopt outside educational programs.

For example, if someone created a personal finance curriculum that complements what schools already teach, what does the process look like for getting a district or school to consider it?

Who typically makes those decisions (teachers, principals, district curriculum directors, school boards)? Is this something that usually happens at the district level or school by school?

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s gone through this process or worked in education.

Would a teen personal finance class be useful?

I’ve been thinking about how many people enter adulthood without really understanding basic personal finance.

Things like budgeting, credit cards, credit scores, high-yield savings accounts, Roth IRAs, investing basics, taxes from a paycheck, and avoiding bad debt are all pretty important, but a lot of teens don’t seem to get much practical education on them before they leave home.

I’m considering testing the idea of a 90-minute online class for teens and young adults that covers the basics in a practical, easy-to-understand way. The goal would not be to give specific investment advice, but more to help them understand common money mistakes and how to make smarter decisions early.

For parents, would something like this be useful for your teen?

And for people who learned personal finance later in life, what topics do you wish someone had taught you before adulthood?

I’m mainly trying to figure out whether this is actually a helpful idea or if there are better ways teens should be learning this.

How do I get my first client for my Data Cleaning and Consulting service?

Myself and a couple others have a lot of experience in the tech world and specifically with data and databases. We noticed a lot of time is wasted on trying to fix data. There are a lot of softwares that can automatically clean data but we think this problem needs a human touch as well.

So my question is how do we go about getting our first client? Should we look for larger clients since they will have the messiest data? Or try to start smaller? Any thoughts are appreciated

Would you put a local guide in your Airbnb?

Someone reached out to me with an idea and I’m curious what other hosts think.

Basically, they’d put a small local guide in the Airbnb with restaurant recommendations, things to do, coffee shops, etc. Local businesses would pay to be included, and I’d get paid a monthly amount for having it in the rental.

I kind of like the idea if it actually adds value for guests, but I’m wondering if I’m missing something. Would you do it, or would it be a hard no? Why?

Brakes Squeak But Only In Reverse

I bought a 2021 Rav 4 about a year ago with 70k ish miles on it. From the day I bought it I noticed that the brakes would squeak but only in reverse and only when I was going a certain speed. Someday it is worse than others. I just went in to get a brake inspection and the mechanic said the brake pads look good and don’t need to be replaced right now. But they still squeak. Does anyone know why this might be? And more importantly how to fix it?
