Visiting

Hello!

Im coming to Greensboro for a business trip later this month. I’m in the food & beverage/ entertainment industry and was hoping you all could throw me some suggestions for places I need to check out. Im curious about the big name and high end restaurants but I’m more so interested in the service industry soul of the city. Great local restaurants with local chefs. Local bars too. Places where I can talk to REAL people. I only have 3 days to fit it all in so I figured I’d ask the experts (you guys). But yeah any general suggestions for food and drink or just sightseeing would be much appreciated. Thanks y’all.

Childhood soulmate taken too soon

My (23F) soul brother (18M) passed away over 5 years ago. It feels deeply disgusting to have to grow up without him. We met in elementary school and were best friends until the end. We lived down the street from eachother and we were together every single day for so many years. He was my champion. I struggled deeply with relationships growing up due to my own family’s dynamics. I wasnt always kind, in fact I could be pretty cold hearted and cruel. He was the only person in my life who has ever stuck by me no matter what. He was never anything shy of the absolute kindest most understanding person I’ve met to this day.

I never deserved him. He never got to know how much he meant to me. And I know that. He passed (03/30/2021) in a snowboarding accident about two weeks after his 18th birthday and just 4 days before mine. I had to graduate Highschool and enter adulthood without him. Ive had to do a lot of things without him. The older i get, the more strange it feels that I’ll never know him as anything past his 18 year old self. I figured that, as I age, the pain would get softer. Yet every time I lay eyes on his image I just sob uncontrollably. I love that guy so fucking much, I always did, I never knew how to say it, I never even thought I SHOULD say it. I hope I get to see him again someday and wrap my arms around him and tell him all the good things about himself that he never got to hear. Give him all the thanks he deserved tenfold yet never once received. It’s so painful growing into adulthood while the person Ive been the closest to throughout my entire life, will always be an 18 year old. He would always talk about spending the rest of our lives together and I would tell him thats ridiculous. Being faced with having to spend to rest of my life without him has been sobering.

I guess I don’t have an overarching question, but I find myself constantly wondering if he’s watching me? If hes proud of me? If he’s doing okay? If he knows how much he meant to me? If he knows how hurt I am? How lost and alone I feel? If he knows that if I had the chance to go back, I’d do everything differently? I gave him more reasons to hate me than to love me yet he still was the only unconditional love Ive had the privilege of experiencing. I wish I knew what it was while I had it. Because man, what a priceless beautiful thing it is to have unconditional love bestowed upon you. I still have the baseball he got for me when we were 10 sitting on my mantle. The hat he always wore is right next to it.

Just any insight at all would be super helpful. Insight into anything. Just knowing something about him would do so much for me. Im so sorry buddy.

Advice

My boyfriend will only ask me for sex. It is incredibly rare for him to touch me or do any foreplay beforehand. Our sex life has gotten pretty sparse because of this. I’ve communicated that to him and he will typically just argue with me or ignore it. Today, I was feelin the feelings and I asked him for sex, because I was under the impression that is something thats okay with him. He said no because “I say no when he asks”. Im exhausted, please help my brain figure this out.

Advice

Hi there. Can someone tell me what is going on with my boyfriend? Im leaving him. I’ve tried everything to make it work. There’s too much lore to even begin to delve into it. It would be very much appreciated if someone could break his chart down for me. Hes a special case. It’s going to take me a long time to recover. I was hoping some insight into his chart might help my healing process.

Moths!

Hi! I am super grateful to be able to say that I get to see tons of these every year at my job!

As an entomology major that dropped out and dedicated their life to cheffing, every day is an absolute blessing to be able to go outside and see these amazing creatures at my workplace. Couldnt be more thrilled.

That’s all, just wanted to share. Hope y’all appreciate these beauties and their volumptous rumps!
