Guys, pretty much every producer I work with these days prefers my wet stems over my dry ones due to the processing they hear on it, and it’s actually a very simple chain I use 😆 the trick is, to make sure you record in a well treated environment. Start with the best possible source, and you’re almost halfway there 🙌 if you can keep it as simple as you can - then do so!

Curious as well — when buying vocals, do you generally prefer paying more for exclusivity, or are you happy using non-exclusive vocals?
A producer got in touch asking if I'd record vocals over AI-generated lyrics for his instrumental.
Instead, I suggested using the AI vocal as a rough guide and writing a completely new topline from scratch.
Why?
Not because I'm "anti-AI" in every sense, but because I genuinely believe a human songwriter can create something that connects more emotionally and better serves the producer's track.
It would have been quicker for me to simply sing what the AI had generated, but I'd rather spend the extra time writing something original if I think it'll make the record stronger.
