Printing (Linux)

Hello

I experience a problem printing from Vivaldi to a network printer and would like some advice.

I installed the Brother_DCP-L2530DW printer using Cups (version 2.4 now). It works for local files, using the Gnome PDF reader and so on. However, sending PDF from the inbuilt reader in Vivaldi browser to the printer doesn't work. Not a disaster (I download the files, open them locally and can print them), but wonder if I could troubleshoot this.

Thank you in advance

Other info:

Vivaldi: 8.1.4087.66 (Official Build) (64-bit)

OS: CachyOS, Linux 7.1.8-1-cachyos

2015 Steam Controller T6 Screwdriver

Hello

I'd like to take apart my 2015 Steam Controller to check why the left bumper is not responding. I have this screwdriver toolset and on ifixit I read I had to use a T6 screwdriver, however it seems it really doesn't connect with the screws, even when applying some force. Any advice? I am new to this, so likely it is a silly thing. Apologies for the awful pictures.

Timers (plural)

I use the Timer exclusively for cooking. Sometimes I need 11 minutes for a pasta, sometimes 9, sometimes 20 for some oven vegetable etc.

I open the Timer app. Instead of simply typing the minutes I need to time, I encounter the '15 minute' timer I used yesterday. I need to add a new timer that will now become the '9 minute' timer.

It seems to me the Timer app is overengineered and meant for people with various routine tasks, analogous I guess to the design of the alarm. Since when is this the case? am I alone in finding this irksome?

"Allow or restrict"

The wording of the Android options 'allow or restrict' confuses me. What does the 'on' setting signify then? 'Allow or restrict'?

Edit: I understand now. A copyeditor could have given Tidal the advice for a more simple phrasing for the toggle.

"Allow AI content."

On / blue means "Yes". Off / gray means " No".

Eerste vakantiedag in een appartement

Ah, vakantie.

Single player RTS recommendation?

Hello all

I have read the list of recommended games, but I'm curious if you could recommend a modern RTS with a good single player campaign and or AI for skirmishes. Online play is too stressful for me. I am looking for AI that is actually smart and engaging.

I have recently played COH3, Dune Spice Wars. Have played pretty much all of the historical Total War Games, and in my youth of course AOE1, 2 and Age of Mythology.

GDR requirements

Was playing CIV6 domination and forgot to enable the mod removing GDR (I hate them). Colombia has 6 GDR that I know of, its only source of Uranium is the city of Popayán with 3 Uranium per turn. What gives?

Crash when typing ` in track changes mode

Hello

I use an azerty keyboard (Belgian lay-out). Libreoffice consistently instantly crashes when typing ` (alt gr + £µ` button) in track changes mode. Any idea how to troubleshoot this? When track changes is off there is no problem.

Gnome: foreground windows when already open

Hello

Not sure how to precisely phrase this question. I have Fedora with Gnome. When an application is already opened, for example the terminal, I sometimes forget it is. When I open it again, I would like for Gnome to switch and focus to it. Instead I get a tooltip on the top saying "Terminal is ready", which is very useless. Another example: I click on the Downloads folder in Vivaldi brower, it opens. I click on it again later, the top tooltip says "Downloads is ready", rather than switching to that Window.

There must be a setting for this somewhere. Could someone help me? Thank you in advance,

Hello

I would like to control the audio playback on my Wiim (mini) device through an app or web interface on a Linux laptop. Does anyone have experience with this? Most open source audio players like Moode audio and the like have a webinterface.

Thank you in advance
