Teeth shifting after braces even with x2 retainers? Orthodontist said it was normal, thoughts?

First photo is side by side comparison of my teeth when braces came off top, and my teeth now a month later (bottom). 2nd photo is what my teeth looked like 2 weeks before braces came off that show the same gap between teeth on left side. 3rd pic is what my teeth looked like before braces.

I got my braces off at the end of April, which was camouflage treatment for a crossbite and underbite. I got a permenant wire retainer on the front 6 teeth, and an essix retainer to wear 24/7 for 6 months. The teeth on my lower left front side look and feel like they've shifted to me, they were the last teeth to move before braces came off, and were really stubborn. Due to previously having an underbite, I'm wary of those specific teeth moving forward. I asked the orthodontist about it, and she said its completely normal and expected due to the plastic retainers between them for 24 hours a day, and that when we taper the time wearing them down & switch to only overnight wear, they'll 'sink' back into place to where they were when braces came off. But that feels wrong to me? Since I thought we wear retainers 24/7 for 6 months so the bone hardens and they stick into place?? Any experiences or thoughts on this? Is my ortho right or should I be concerned?

Anyone got any visitor parking permits they can sell? Or know how long they take for delivery?

Partner and I are driving to Brighton on Sunday, to stay until Tuesday/Wednesday. Will be staying with friends. Only now realised visitor parking permits are a thing!!

I'm not sure they'd arrive in time if ordered now though. Does anyone know? Or does anyone have any spares they'd be willing to sell?

Panicking! Dentist gave me a filling and now my retainers don't fit. What should I do? Should I keep wearing them until I get a replacement?

I got my braces off last month, and had a filling booked for today without thinking about how thatd effect my new retainers. I planned on getting an implant later in the year which id need a replacement retainer for anyway, so I asked my dentist if I could push back the filling until I get my implant. The dentist reassured me I could still go forward with my filling today, it wouldn't effect the fit of my retainers. So I kept it. When I went in today, I once again asked if my retainers would still fit after, they once again said yes.

Lo and behold, the retainers don't fit now. I'm very stressed out now and dont know what to do. I've made an appointment with my ortho for Wednesday, but my replacement retainers obviously won't be ready until 2 weeks from now. Should I carry on wearing the ones that don't fit properly? It's only on one side, it was my left molars that recieved fillings, so the retainers on that side are now popping off my teeth (also uncomfortabley scraping the bottom of my tongue..). I also can't close my teeth while wearing them now.

My main worry is if because they don't fit properly, would they then push my teeth out of place? Or would my teeth be more at risk of shifting if I don't wear them? I do have permanent retainers but it's only on the front 6 teeth. Or should I cut the back 2 molars off of the retainers?
