After party worth it?
We've had an idea of closing our reception at 12 then having an after party at a local club till 3:30 before a sunrise breakfast in a flat above. Is this just a total waste of time? Maybe just end it all at 1am?

I can’t find a basque waist, long sleeve dress, ball gown with cathedral train (maybe slightly smaller). Would like rose brocade fabric or satin. white. 5/6/2027 and UK based but we do have a lot of foreign designers with stores here. Rather be around £3k, max £6k. Please help!
We have a guest list of 170 people with some brutal cuts. But are trying to do a wedding on a budget. Can anyone recommend a venue within 40 minutes of Leamington Spa for just the reception - somewhere with big windows, elegant and classy. I can’t find anywhere so hoping for some suggestions of places google hasn’t given!
I was looking on wedding shop but they have discontinued a lot of products and now seem to just be all really expensive ones. Does anyone have any recommendations for different sites?
I (F33) and my partner (M33) got engaged after 8 years last week. I have been asking for us to get engaged for about 6 years and he hasn't. Now he has, but I am not happy. It doesn't help the engagement was a disaster. He did make an effort and a lot out of his control went wrong, but he didn't do the things I wanted (red roses and someone (anyone - not professional) to take photos) and the engagement speech was awful (he didn't mention me). I am trying to get over this and thought I had. But we have just spent the weekend together and everything that used to annoy me, made me really frustrated. It was all amplified.
To add to this, our relationship hasn't always been perfect - 7 years ago he was violent and cheated. He did get therapy and covid meant we ended up moving past this. I am desperate for children and most of all, I am disabled and need care. My aging mother (F 72) is my carer but I know this can't work forever and I need security. He does willingly care for me when available from work. We do love one another. And while not the dream or perfect, and nothing like I dreamt of when younger prior to getting ill, he is here, loves me and tried his best to a better man. So I think we can have a good marriage.
The issue is my Mum knows all this and I told her all my fears on the night we got home, once my fiance had left for his parents. I also said that I didn't want to put pressure on it. However, she said she wanted us married this summer - I said no. Next day, she asked when I was moving out. Next day, asked had I organised replacement care. Then today said if wanted to do any of the trips we had spent our whole lives planning, which were delayed as I was in hospital, then I need to make sure we have done them prior to the wedding this year as we won't do any once I am married.
I have kind of said "what?" Like I had told her my fiance has said we won't live together when married at first due to his job so he can't provide care, but will be trying to move to a position where he can work from home. My mum is my carer and knows I would need more help (I need daily support and also help to get to hospital - I can't just push through as end up in hospital and then need full care). She has said he could just quit his job, but we don't qualify for benefits (beyond disability ones) so would have zero money. She is also worried his job is not wellpaid enough at the same time. So this is flipping from one to another. Prior to engagement, she said she would be there to support and help every step of the way and wouldn't go anywhere etc, so this is totally different.
The issue is I am due to have two ops this year, now trying to plan a wedding, now also having to do all the trips we wanted to do with my mum and the trips I wanted to do prior to marriage, and also having to try and buy a house, get a job so I can pay for care to replace her (despite being let go from every job due to health and been trying for 8 years), and keep stable. Oh and I have 4/5 hospital appointments each week and all over the country (and can't travel independently). Everyone has said to me "only do the wedding and keep everything stable" and told her that too - but she just keeps pilling the pressure on.
My issue is also, I ended up hospitalised after 3 days after the engagement as got unwell due to stress and doing too much, and my mum withdrew care and has gone away telling my fiance to take time off work (which he can't). She has gone on 10 different engagement celebrations and gave me a list of 100 people of her friends to tell. So I didn't even tell any of mine nor celebrated at all, except a bottle of champagne so she could upload it on her facebook. I also have a lot of grown adults (60s/70s) telling me if this was their child they wouldn't let me get married - just because of the proposal and my parents must not be happy. I also just felt like I just wanted to celebrate a moment that I actually get to have (I miss out on a lot due to health) and now its been ruined by this pressure and my mums is celebrating more than me. She also is making every single aspect about her - she even called it "my engagement" repeatedly. It's just been really tough.
I don't know whether the best thing would be cancel the engagement? Cancel the wedding and postpone (but that threatens having children)? But I don't want to, I just want to be able to slow it down and do one step at a time, which is what I had told my Mum. I just feel under so much pressure and don't know what to do.
I have found out I may not be able to carry my own child due to medical reasons so just startinh to look at surogacy. Anyone have experience on finding surrogates in the UK and realistic costs? thank you
