Big Club w/ Mediocre Coaches vs Mid Sized Club with Great Coaches

My U14 son is trying to decide between his current big club where he just missed on making the ECNL RL team and would be playing for a mediocre coach who’s experience ends and begins with coaching his kids in a high level state soccer division or moving to a mid-sized club playing N1 league with opportunities to play some EA league games and work with two great young coaches with recent D1 playing experience and a desire to grow their club. Which way would you go?

Am I Doing Something Wrong or What is Wrong with My R1S?

So my vehicle was in the shop for replacement of the charging harness and I decided to have them do the comprehension inspection as I am at 50k miles and have a long road trip coming up in a week. Needless to say, they found a lot of issues and will be getting them fixed. Most concerning to me is that I had the front half shafts and hubs replaced last October, less than 5k miles ago. At the time I was told they were doing it because they had concerns about the original parts and the new parts would be more robust and they were doing on any vehicle that had issues with creaking and clunking sounds. Seriously concerned about ownership after the warranty if this is what I should expect every 5k miles in terms of front end issues. During this stretch I did no significant off-roading and she was a pavement princess. What am I doing wrong to cause this or what larger issue should I be having them look for that could be causing this problem so regularly?

I’m Surrounded and Outnumbered

Going with the discussion flair here because I’m not necessarily looking for advice or tips and I’m not sure this qualifies as an achievement. Perhaps we need a “rant” flair.

Anyway, here it goes…I just realized that in a family of 6+ doggo, the doggo and I are the only ones in the family that aren’t ADHD (and the doggo is an asshole chihuahua/lab mix). I’m so outnumbered and the natives would have me roasting on a spit if I wasn’t still bigger than them.

I’m standing here in my kitchen trying to clean (wife lost track of time) and cook at the same time on daddy night (wife is have a much deserved evening out) and I’m having a mild panic attack cause the 13 year old is singing inappropriate rap songs and the top of his lungs, the 10 year old is freaking out about the butterflies she “birthed” because two were failures to fly and are back in the butterfly house and she clearly did something wrong, the 8 year old is screaming at me from the stairs because I asked her to pick up the family room before she could read and the 4 year old was yelling “fuck” over and over thanks to their brother’s singing, but is now crying uncontrollably because he lost dessert for not listening to me when I told him to stop swearing. Dog is scratching my calves because he wants to be fed.

Only about 14 years left until I’m at even strength with the ADHD’ers and even then I’ll just be dealing with the ADHD from afar.

Love my family but it’s days like today that make me realize why parents go crazy so often.

Rant complete, thanks for your attention to this matter.

Just throwing this out into the World Cup universe and see if I can pull out a miracle. Bought tickets to a group match in Kansas City for my son and I, but now we will be in Connecticut for June all of a sudden for a sick relative. Son is devastated that he won’t get to go to a game and I am trying daily to find some “cheap” tickets to one of the Boston games. I would be happy with with the worst seats in the stadium, just want to get him to a game given the circumstances. If anyone was planning on selling a pair or has two extra tickets they no longer need, I would love to buy them. Wish my budget wasn’t so tight, but we have a lot of expenses getting the family out to New England, plus the hit I took on the KC tickets. I have some room for more $ if necessary but trying to stay in the $300 or less range.

I am almost done with my genealogical research and documentation and I am trying to get my G0 completely squared away with solid evidence. I have the below digitized baptismal records that show my great grandfather’s baptism but will this be accepted? It appears that familysearch.org has the actual records and should be able to get them, but I don’t know if it’s necessary or any better than this digitized record. I have census documents, ww2 draft card, marriage license and think I can get an alien registration form if needed, to support the baptismal record. Am I overthinking this? I want it to be a slam dunk but not overkill if that makes sense. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
