Has anyone converted their Oxy/Acetylene torch to Oxy/Propane? I only use mine for brazing, no cutting or welding. I think going propane would be cheaper? Also, after doing some googling it’s not as easy as just getting a different regulator. But, just how important is it to buy a different hose and can I use the same small brazing tip or would I need to buy a whole new rig? I would like to just buy a new regulator and propane if that’s possible?

Anyone in here build BMX bikes? If so, what does your jig setup look like and where do you source your components?

Where is everyone buying parts? I know of Ride Out Supply and I thing Dans Comp has big BMX stuff but there has to be other places that cater more to cruisers big BMX bikes?

Does anyone know how big of a sprocket I can fit on my Stolen Zeke? It has the stock 25/11 now.

Does any know if there have been any updates on the remains found in Coralville by S.T. Morrison park?

Any updates on how the addition is going? Last time I was by they just had piles of dirt and not much happening.

Do any of you 6’ guys ride a 20.5 TT? How is it?

**Edit. I should ad that I ride a 21.25 now but have a 20.5 frame still in the box that I’m about to build up for my kid but he has zero interest in it. Maybe I should sell that frame and buy a different one instead.

I’ve got a black Kink frame that I was thinking of going raw. I’m sure people have done this.

If I have it soda blasted or chemically stripped will it still have the heat marks from the welds?

Edit** thank you for the answer so far, however, I am not really looking for how to take the paint off but more of, what was the frame like under the paint. Did the welds still show the heat marks? Was the metal etched like it had been sanded or nice and smooth ?

Headed to Chicago in July and while I know there are a lot of bike shops in the area, I was wondering if there are any that are either BMX specific or have a heavy focus on BMX?

We will be visiting just after the 4th of July and were wondering if the only places to purchase souvenirs is at Market Square? Also, can you purchase one of CWs handmade bricks? My dad was a brick mason his entire life and I’d love to place one at his grave.

Edit to add. Do they sell actual cocked hats there or just the cheap costume ones you get at Spirit Halloween?

Wife our two boys and I are driving from Iowa to Colonial Williamsburg in July. Has anyone made this trip? What are some stops and or sights we should see along the way? We will take the southern route on the way there then the northern route on the way back.

Me, my wife and our two boys (10 & 15) are planning a trip from Iowa in July. We should be there the evening of the 6th. Now I know July can be hot and humid then but that is when we could both get vacation time. Questions; how will the park be for seeing the buildings/trades and interpreters? Will it be busy with visitors so close to the USAs 250th celebration? Also, any Tips or suggestions for a few days visit?
