How the fuck did the Healy Raes get a 90 minute puff piece on RTE1?

I don't believe a single word of this supposed schism between them.

Featuring luminaries such as Terry Prone, Ivan Yates and the next generation of Healy Rae without a mention of his conviction for battering a lad in a chipper while shouting "this is my town".

Any estimates / thoughts on this repair?

G31 Alpine White.

Front quarter into the passenger door.

Car was ceramic coated a few months ago too in case that adds any complications.

Towhitch retrofit costs - BMW G31/ 5 Series Estate

As above, any guidance on costs or potential workshops that retrofit tow hitchs to BMW 5er Estates?

I'd like to consider the electric folding one but think I'd fall over at the costs involved!

Thanks!

Crawling Baby & Cat-Proofing

Hi all, we have a 3 month old that is looking very keen to get moving. We're a bit away from her crawling but I want to get prepared.

We have an indoor cat and not a lot of space (terrace house in Dublin, Ireland). His litter tray is one with a cover and swing door but absolutely not baby proof. His food bowl is also in the kitchen.

Any guidance or tips on baby proofing would be great. I'm thinking we put all the cat stuff in the utility room off the kitchen and out some kind of barrier that we and the cat can step over but she can't negotiate.

Any other tips welcome!

Demolition & Rebuild - planning issues?

I have the opportunity to build at home on the site of an existing farmhouse and outbuildings.

The house is of no particular architectural merit, it's a vernacular farmhouse built to be practical but now very outdated.

We've engaged an architect and gone through an exploratory phase looking at options that retain and options that demolish the existing house and build a new house perpindicular to the existing house footprint. It wouldn't be in the same farmhouse style. While the architect would run planning, he seems a bit more on the "arty" side rather than the practical.

There are no overlooking neighbours, in fact no houses can see or be seen from the site.

Are we likely to run into any issues with Planning?

We want to build a modern, efficient house and not be tied to the previous layout or technical debt.

House is in North Cork.

Thanks!

Garmin Edge 1040 not syncing to Strava

I recently got a Edge 1040 and completed my first ride today. The activity synced fine to Garmin Connect but didn't push to Strava automatically.

What I've tried:

Disconnected and reconnected Strava in Garmin Connect — no effect

Checked Connected Apps settings — "Activities" toggle is on, Live Segments is on, everything looks correctly configured

There's no "Send to Strava" option in the Garmin Connect app for the activity

Ended up manually exporting the .fit file via connect.garmin.com and uploading directly to Strava

The device also shows a "Sign in to Strava via Garmin Connect" prompt on the Segment Explore screen, but it's not interactive/clickable.

Has anyone else had issues with the Edge 1040 specifically not syncing to Strava?

Is there a known fix or something I'm missing?

Google Photos not working on frame anymore

One of my primary uses of Google Home has been to display family photos using shared Google Photos albums.

It stopped working yesterday. I've de-linked Google Photos and relinked, it worked briefly and then reverted back to Google's own art.

Any ideas?

Received this today, absolutely delighted with it.

If anyone has any additional information on the model I'm all ears. From what I read a 37mm 18k is unusual but I'm open to correction.

Dated to approx 1958.

Thanks!

Basically I would like to capture cute baby pics without shoving a phone in my child's face. I bought a crappy no name set of glasses from AliExpress and they were awful. I don't need crazy features, just a decent camera and reliable way to get the pictures / videos back off the glasses.

I don't want to get the Meta ones because fuck Facebook basically.

Is there anything on the market for me?

Thanks!
