Star Wars Zero Company

Anyone been following this? Randomly came up on my YouTube and I do love XCOM this has my attention.

I honestly have had next to zero interest in star wars since Disney take over but this looks good.

In July I will be 1 year sober from Alcohol

I just feel like I need to write this to share, as I’m pretty proud of myself managing to stay off the drink, first year of many.

In recent years, alcohol just put me into a really dark place, which is the reason I stopped. Like many others, I told my wife so many times, “That’s me done,” but then the weekend would come and I’d end up buying more whisky, beers, or wine.

After a stag on the 26th of July 2025, which was actually a great night with good people, I came home alone feeling down and sad. The next time, I said to my wife, “That’s me,” and here we are — I haven’t touched anything since.

I do enjoy a 0% Guinness from time to time though.

Thanks for reading.

Injury at work help

Hi,

My wife works for the NHS and, over a year ago, suffered an injury at work that hurt her back and has seriously affected her day-to-day life ever since. She put in a claim and had proof that management were aware of the task she was carrying out at the time.

Unfortunately, the department she works in is very cliquey. People she thought were friends changed their statements, seemingly out of fear of management. The head of department also removed it as an accident at work and instead recorded it as sickness leave. She was then told that, because there were “no witnesses”, she wouldn’t be able to take it to court.

Since the injury, she has struggled with normal day-to-day tasks and is currently trying to get redeployed. She was sent for an MRI, which showed a slipped disc, yet there was no mention made of the workplace accident that caused it.

She has no idea I’m writing this I’m just trying to help because she deserves better than the way she’s been treated. Honestly, the whole situation has been handled terribly.
