Hi everyone, I have been selected for PhD at IITB , IISER Pune , and IISc ( CENSE). My experience is in thin films fabrication and characterisation and a bit on simulations- nanophotonics.
qualifications- BSc from Mumbai university, MSc from

At IITB , I have talked to a prof working on spin qubits .And in IISERP, I talked to a prof working in spintronics, spin current etc. At IISc cense, I have not talked to a prof yet. I want to try something a bit different from oxide thin films fab as i feel it is a bit saturated and repetitive.
In terms of future scope, what topics are good, and slightly challenging. Any ideas / information is helpful.Which institute would be better - any suggestions.

I have a question regarding hostel rooms for PhD students at IISER pune. I have been selected for PhD this year and I wanted to know if the hostel rooms for PhD students are single occupancy or there will be roommates ( double occupancy ). Usually single rooms are preferred by PhD students. Anyone from IISER P please let me know🙃. Also are the hostels same for bs-ms, ms , and PhD or the PhD hostels are different.
