One Space Marine vs The Entire Mongol Empire

One Firstborn space marine (not Primaris) is transported back in time to the height of the Mongol empire in 1279. Can he conquer it in a year? If not a year, then how much longer?

Rules:

-The marine gets one bolt pistol and 14 rounds.

-No power armor or additional technology.

-The marine starts In the westernmost part of the empire, far away from the center of power in the central steppe and Mongolia.

-The Marine knows who Genghis Khan is and what the Mongol empire is, but nothing else.

-The marine is not of the White Scars.

Glitch in new version

I recently installed fallout Sonora from the official GitHub page, which replaced the older version.

in the new version, plasma and laser projectiles are really slow and tied to the “combat speed” setting, which i don’t like and can’t change. This issue is not present in Fallout 2. Help?

Useful Knowledge

The wiki for this game is pretty spotty and incomplete, so here is information about where to find some good weapons/armor.

-Grenade Launcher: Casa Grande in the school ruins (school ruins can only be accessed by giving a kid the music box mechanism found in one of the Jackal totems) Grenade Launcher can be found in the basement, along with a few 40mm grenades. The door leading to the grenade launcher is behind the power generator and is hard to see.

-Spear -> Pneumatic Spear -> Electric Spear

-Hunting rifle (early game) -> Combat rifle (midgame) -> Plasma Rifle (late game)

Leather Jacket -> Leather Armor -> Metal Armor -> Combat Armor (NMR)

The option to buy Metal Armor can be accessed from the Phoenix fashion merchant by paying 50 caps in dialogue. You can then purchase the armor.

Cool Sunglasses can be bought from the fashion merchant through dialogue choices.

NMR combat armor, found in the fortress hill in Hermosillo (Requires a sneak skill of 40. A stealth-boy can be used to augment the sneak skill by 20% and makes sneaking much easier). Crossing the Sonoran Desert to reach Hermosillo is required. A stealth-boy can be bought from the Tinsmith quartermaster after completing their second quest (the one about tracking down bandits), or found in the Inferno church's basement.

-Find hunting rifle in two places: Steal one off of the men guarding the Phoenix tanker caravan, or take and repair the Ranger's rifle from the Jackal hideout (wear vault suit to get into the hideout for free)

-Combat rifle: Find and kill the Los Panchos bandits (Only Hernando, one of the three leaders has one. You will need to wander around the three squares directly south of Phoenix until you find him in a random encounter.) or appease the Tinsmiths enough to access their expanded merchant inventory (takes a while)

-Plasma Rifle: Found disassembled on the middle deck of the Brotherhood destroyer. Needs 120 repair skill.

Regular spears can be found everywhere, and on the bandits near the Villa barn.

The Pneumatic Spear can be found in the Casa Grande schoolhouse. Once the grenade launcher from the basement is acquired, three raiders will spawn, one of whom carries a Pneumatic Spear.

The Electric Spear must be bought from the Brotherhood quartermaster.

Please Help Me Fix Fatal Error [FNV]

Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it? This message shows every time I load an interior/exterior cell in the GECK. I have been trying to fix this for hours, and I would like some help before I burst a blood vessel.

Help with Dragbody's PA Mod [FNV]

Titans of the New West recently updated to 2.1.51, which completely broke compatability with Dragbody's Fo4 power armor ports. No matter what I do or what patches I install (and you really have to go hunting for fixes, because Nexus bans anything related Drag's power armors) it doesn't work. Primarily, the T-51 armors are always overwritten by TOTNW. I've been ripping my hair out about this for the past few hours, can someone please help?

Edit: I managed to make my own homebrew-duct-tape fix. In the Data folder of New Vegas, and its subsequent Mesh folder, if you delete everything relating to the T-51 armor, the game will default to the Fo4 models but keep the TOTNW animations, which is exactly what I was looking for. More professional and stable suggestions are appreciated.

Edit 2: I decided to go back to TOTNW 2.1.4 because it's not worth it to fix the bugs that keep popping up when the new TOTNW interacts with other mods like the MCM.

Help With Finding Comics

Hello, I have a conundrum that I need help from this community to solve.

As many of you know, the wonderful artist LackaFreak deleted their Reddit and Tumblr accounts a while back. This means that there is now no way to find everything they made up until the point of deletion. (Yes, I know they have a twitter account, but it’s impossible to see Twitter posts unless you’re logged in, and I refuse to give my data to the Elongated Muskrat.) So, if any kind souls could help build some kind of archive that stores all their old works, that would be most appreciated. I don’t want to see their old work fall into obscurity and become pseudo-lost media.

edit: found new LF account: https://www.reddit.com/user/LF27_/

edit 2: Found the “Mortalhood” comic: Mortalhood [OC] (Extra art and info in comments!) : r/CultOfTheLamb

The Tentacled Terror [Exit the Gungeon]

Preface: This is only here because the XtG subreddit seems to be dead.

Question for the community: How do I beat the Gloctopus?

No, seriously. It seems impossible without getting obscenely lucky.

The first phase of the fight always shaves off 85% of my HP because the jet-ski dodge is clunky and frustrating, while the boss constantly spits out a flood of bullets that can just barely be dodged in random and unpredictable patterns at the speed of light. And then, because my combo is always being reset by the constant damage, I’m forever stuck with the shittiest weapons. Why the fuck are you giving me the fucking Klobbe six times in a bloody row?

If by some ungodly miracle you make it past all of that bullshit, welcome to the truest definition of Bullet Hell. You thought going to literal, actual Hell in the last game was too easy for you? Well, your ol’ squiddy pal here is going to literally smack you hubristic ass back down to Earth.

Get ready for dodging an endless Niagara Falls of bullets every single femtosecond, and I hope you like tentacle hentai when the boss reveals its instant spaz-out tentacle act that instantly snaps to your position. Is that enough raw, unfiltered buggery for you? No? Well, check this out: Now the boss disappears and becomes completely invincible, and then spams bullet rings every three seconds. And you’re doing all this on one heart or less because you got shredded by the first phase.

What’s this? You actually beat the Gloctopus?

Here’s your reward… a hat.

Oh, and you need to beat the boss six times with every Gungeoneer to get all the unique hats.

This eight-limbed monstrosity has made me hate a game that I once loved. I’ve 100% XtG almost twice over, once on Apple Arcade and once on Steam. And now? Never again.

In conclusion, fuck the Gloctopus. I hope someone cooks the damn thing into calamari. While it’s alive.

Gun Ideas

Some fun gun ideas I came up with in my spare time.

1. Shotguy

Frustration Manifest

This shotgun has grown tired of being mishandled by bumbling, overconfident Gungeoneers. It will inflict great misery on those who display a poor showing of skill. Those who display expertise, however, may impress the gun and gain its favor.

The Shotguy fires flaming bullets. Upon pickup, the gun deals low damage and has wide spread, and its bullets may curve away from enemies. The bullets have a chance to gain negative knock back, which will pull enemies towards the player.

As the player kills enemies, the gun’s damage and shot spread improves, and the chance for negative knockback will diminish. Taking hits reduces the damage and widens the shot spread by 15%, which is cumulative and will eventually reset the gun back to its default state.

Shotgut

Slippery

A horrific weapon created by weaving the organs of fallen Gungeoneers into the shape of a shotgun. This monstrosity strikes fear into even the hardiest Gundead, for its mere presence defies the natural law of both Man and Gun.

The Shotgut fires a tight spread of cartoonish organs (heart, liver, etc), which leave a red trail similar to the Bait Launcher. It will also pulsate slightly when held.

Synergies:

Mutation + Shotgut: Meat Grinder

Shotgut will gain homing properties and increased damage, and upon reloading will spawn a stationary meat turret that fires Mutation beams at enemies.

Cinderblock

Bad For Your Teeth

A simple, brutal weapon, wielded only by those without grace or finesse. The real question is “Where are all these cinder blocks coming from?”

The Cinderblock is thrown as a projectile that has a high chance of stunning enemies.  It must be charged before throwing. If the Cinderblock is thrown before it has finished charging fully, it will only travel a short distance, do no damage and consume ammo regardless. If the Cinderblock kills an enemy, a few small teeth will shoot out of the corpse and ricochet into other enemies.

The Gnomer

Pain

A weapon of unimaginable cruelty and destruction forged in the deepest pits of Bullet  Hell. Crafted exclusively from the calcified souls of the damned, this monstrous instrument of suffering unleashes ungodly abominations unto one’s foes. It is said that the mere sight of this infernal craftwork drives all who witness it to gibbering insanity.

The Gnomer is a red, conical hat that fires swarms of gnomes which latch onto enemies and deal continuous damage. Enemies that are killed by the gnomes will be devoured, leaving no corpse behind. The gnomes will also distract and blind enemies, causing them to lose focus and fire randomly rather than targeting the player. They can also damage other enemies when in this state.
