Is it ethical?

My friend and I are finally starting to get traction with sales. We have a few signed agreements now and a few more look like they’re ready to sign. Our niche is Aerospace, but to be specific CNC machinist and programmers. We’ve been trying out different Ai outreach tools like Apollo.io but we keep facing the same dilemma. We would like to start a mass outreach campaign to target CNC candidates and Apollo seems to have the basics to actually get that going. The ethical dilemma my friend and I are facing is, if we send out a mass email sequence, most of the emails on Apollo or roughly 98% of them are company emails. Is it ethical to send out an email campaign to these people (knowing response rates are going to be low) while at the same time trying to get business in said companies.
We’re in the boat of “well that is what recruiting is” but at the same time we feel like it’s a shitty way of doing business if we’re targeting everyone in the area and on top of that trying to get their business. We feel torn because Indeed is charging boat loads of money for subpar candidates and these people are already working so chances are they’re great machinist. What would you do?

Two months in and we finally hit 2k Miles. 2026 CX 90 3.3 Turbo Premium Sport AWD

Been owning it since late June, these are some of the things I love and hate about this vehicle.

The Likes:

  1. The looks! I just absolutely love the way it looks in all black. The shine, the front end, it’s all perfect to me.
  2. The feel of the seats. I’ve taken this trip on a 500+ mile roadtrip and not once did I feel the seats too stiff or uncomfortable. They’ve actually gotten better with time as the leather softens a bit.
  3. Great sound system. Crystal clear.
  4. The space we have on the second row is great.
  5. Handling is amazing. When we took it to mammoth lakes in Northern California it was taking the corners up in the mountains like nothing. For an SUV this size I was surprised how well it handled. Had me smiling from ear to ear.

The Dislikes:

  1. Granted, we live in Los Angeles so our traffic is notoriously bad but we didn’t expect the gas milage to be this bad. We drive roughly 80% city, 20% highway for reference. The gas milage is a bit off since we took a trip this last weekend that raised the MPG by two but normally we’re sitting at mid to high 19 mpg.
  2. The paint. We knew this going in but holy moly is the paint on this thing paper thin. It already has some slight scratches due to some rocks and other road things hitting it but damn it feels like you can’t even look at this thing the wrong way because paint just peels right off.
  3. Suspension stiffness. LA roads are bad but with this you can genuinely feel every single road imperfection. From the smallest of potholes to a raised portion of the road, you can feel everything. Again, this is something we knew of before purchasing but we didn’t expect it to be this bad. My 2020 Honda accord on low profile tires rides smoother if I’m being honest.
  4. I’ve heard a small rattle coming from the drivers side tire/mirror area. It sounds like something is loose and it’s moving with the wind when you’re driving 70+ mph.
  5. Breaks are squeaky already! Annoying since it’s a brand new vehicle.
  6. Road noise is bad but not as bad as some people may say. I give it a good 7.5/10.
  7. Depreciation is a bitch with the Cx 90. If you financed a new one like we did your car is already worth about 20-30% less based off of current used prices. A car is not an investment but this specific model has terrible resale value.

Overall though, we’re happy with it but if we were given the chance to pick again we would have gone with a 2025 MDX over this. It’s a very nice SUV for the price range but in many ways it gives you the feeling of “you get what your paid for” which is something our other vehicles like our Honda Accord never gave us. Maybe the 2027 model is a bit better and Mazda addresses the issues many people have with this specific model, but as of today, we are probably going to be shopping around for other brands in the future.

Someone already dinged my driver side door a month in SMH

Went on a road trip to the San Diego zoo and someone dinged my drivers side door with theirs. The cars that were parked to me were completely different so there was no way of knowing who did it. Not a big ding but big enough to bother me. I’m so pissed off about it now.

We’re great at Recruiting not so great getting clients

My friend and I started our own agency after working together in the space for about 3 years. All together we have roughly 15 years + of experience between the both of us. We both hit the age where we no longer wanted to do it for someone else and we took the leap back in May. We’ve come a long way building our actual structure and have started selling aggressively for these last two weeks.
We’re both trying to focus on Manufacturing/Aerospace in SoCal since that was our bread and butter for years and we both love the space. Like the title states, we’re great at recruiting but suck at sales. We’ve had a few client meetings already and sent out proposals after but it’s still hard to get the pen to paper. Our rates are competitive compared to most of the agencies around us but we just can’t catch a break. The main problem we’re having is generating actual leads, we usually look through our current candidates companies to see if they can give us a lead of scroll through Glassdoor and indeed to see if we find a potential client but we’ve come to the realization that we’re spending too much time hoping we come across something online. My partner mentioned learning how to use Claud to build us some sort of scraping tool that can get us leads but everything we’ve found is crazy expensive (ZoomInfo for example). Any help or tips for both of us would be greatly appreciated.

First road trip and had zero issues. Hit 1k miles

Went from LA to Mammoth. Zero issues, the only complaints is that it lacks some power going up hill and the low windshield fluid light kept coming on when we were going downhill. Great experience so far

Dealership gave me a $49,700 OTD price. Is it reasonable?

My wife and I are looking for a new vehicle for our growing family and for a while now we’ve been looking at the Mazda CX 90. We went to check them out and she loved it! The exact model would be the 2026 Mazda CX-90 3.3 Turbo Premium Sport AWD.
