She’s leggy. How do I fix her?
Do I chop it and learn how to propagate? Or do I let it go? 🥺

Have this croton in a south facing window where it gets plenty of light. But the leaves are all green and only slightly red. Is there something I can do to encourage more color to come thru? I have a south and east facing window in my office and a couple of small grow lights.. do I maybe take it home where it can get more sunlight? It’s quite leggy but other than that it’s doing well. Any suggestions?
I bought a snake plant in a 4 inch pot months ago. It sprouted a pup and the pup grew so fast and is currently as tall as the rest of the plant. Also a new pup is peeking thru the soil. I wondered why the rest of the plant hasn’t made any progress..I noticed 4 out of the 7 leaves have been snipped in store when I bought it but didn’t think anything of it.
Now I’m wondering if it’s going to stay the same size until the pups takeover and multiply and the original leaves are lost and hidden in the middle?
I traded my friend a baby from my Monstera D. It was a beautiful baby with 3 big-ish leaves and a new one about to unfurl. One week after I went to collect a baby Dieffenbachia she told me she had for me. I was so excited because the one she had I could not find in my area..a tropic snow. I’ve been wanting it for months now and hadn’t dared to go through plant mail since I had a failed first attempt at ordering. Anyway, instead of a potted baby plant, I received a leaf nearly a foot long with the end wrapped in a wet paper towel inside a ziplock bag and I was told to stick it in clean filtered water, basically keep on with the propagation…I did. It’s been a couple days but I’m doubting her..I’m thinking I’m keeping the leaf alive for the time being but don’t think it’s going to sprout roots and become an actual growing plant.
I want to believe her because her main plant is huge and gorgeous and she also has one in her office that is doing great that came from the main plant. Supposedly.
Did I make a trade worthy of the baby I gave her or do I just have a pretty leaf that’s got zero chance of gaining roots?
It’s a leaf, a big leaf, but no actual stem….🥺🥺☹️🪴🌱☹️🪴
What do you all
Think?
In a soil and perlite mix. Any suggestions on care? It gets indirect light from the kitchen window facing east. Should I move it or change the soil?
Hanging on a Minnesota porch with a couple days of heavy rain to 100° heat advisory took a lot out of my pretty petunia basket. I forgot to bring her indoors this morning and when I got home from work she looks like she’s fighting for her life in the heat.
Lots of green stems and green leaves along with crispy brown leaves and spent flowers. I brought it in from the heat for now. Do I clean all of the dead stuff out and keep in indoors until the weather isn’t so hateful? Or do I say a quick prayer and chop it back half way and hope it bounces back?
It’s my first year with flowers like this . Learning all I can. Please help me and let me
Know the best course of action for her. She’s beautiful and my favorite color..I just want to get her back to health so I can admire her thru my window. 💜🌱💜🌱☀️☀️☀️
Minnesota porch with a week of thunderstorms and then 100° heat advisory has put my petunia basket through it.
Question is, do I clean it up and deadhead or do I just chop it back and hope she bounces back?
Lots of green stems with crispy leaves and spent flowers. Please help. I’m sitting with it right now and taking the crunchy stuff out for now and hoping it looks better by time I get done
This is supposed to be Monstera Spotsylvania. It had one leaf when I brought it home and the one leaf soon fell off. Now she’s just 2 stems. Does it need to be cut back even more than it is…do I just keep her watered and in light and hope for the best?
I just brought her home from the big blue W store. She is a little heavy for the small pot she’s in. Came with a plastic pole that supposed to be supporting her leaves maybe? It’s a little wobbly at the base.
Do I repot into a slightly bigger pot with the soil, perlite, coco coir, or peat moss?? (What is the best mix for it?) Currently on a table that sits directly under a South facing window…
Any and all next step/care instructions asked for.
I thought she was beautiful and have done some research since I brought her home but I would like to ask you all. Everyone has been so helpful with my plant babies since I’ve joined this app.
