I remember playing the first game years ago on PS4 and want to buy the newest one. But I'm torn on either getting it on switch 2 or Steam. Those with experience which would you recommend?
Say what you will about metas of the past but the current double ks and lh1 invis is the least fun meta i have played with and against since like s4 triple M defib. This shit is so ass currently its insane and i really hope next update addresses it.
For context: I bought this game when it first released as im a long time football players and enjoyer. I ultimately put the game down for a few reasons such as the technical issues and players.
Recently i heard that the game is in a much better state than when i last played and i was excited to try it out after a year of not playing. From what i can tell personally most of the serious bugs have been fixed. However one of my pain pojts with the game was the selfish playstyle prevalent in almost every match.
I played a few game in the evening today and i was sad to see that most people still dont know how to pass or play as a team and instead try to dribble their way through the whole team to score and if they dont have the ball they spam "Pass!" or try to steal it from their own team.
Did i get unlucky or is this still a common issue with the game?
No idea how im supposed to beat them they have like 45k soldiers
I'm playing the invictus mod as thats what people seem to suggest you need to have. But i feel like im running out of time how am i supposed to lower aggressive expansion and is it possible to reach peak rome borders in the time given?
Also maybe im missing something because im very new but is there more depth to this game other than map painting? i dont really understand the point of relationships with specific characters or what the senate/government is doing. Also how do i stop people from hating on my beautiful empire!?!?(how to reduce disloyal provinces)
The idea of an empire was far more than just its size it denoted a certain level of prestige and influence and the fact that the only requirement is land kinda sucks. It removes the pizzazz that empires really were and also fuck hegemony titles :)
For context: I soloq to diamond every season in EU lobbies since s6. Ive been playing on and off since the beta. Ive started my climb last week and im currently climbing through plat 3.
This season has been the worst in terms of ranked matchmaking balance. Im not sure what they've done or what has changed this season specifically but the amount rubies and 50k+ triple stacks has increased by a massive amount in lower tiers. Now im used to fighting them in diamond lobbies but to encounter them as low as G1 which is where i was placed is a little silly.
While im not a game designer i do recognize that this isnt healthy for the ranked mode, and will only worsen as people are put off by the unbalance. Some kind of either matchmaking lock on rubies so they cant join lower than diamond or high plat lobbies or just a much stricter matchmaking system needs to implemented yesterday. This change will negatively effect about the top .1% while improving gameplay for the rest. How is this a bad thing? Rubies already play this game an insane amount so what ever if they need to wait a little longer.
I love this game and its been my main FPS/PVP game since 2024 and it makes me sad to see ranked in such a dire situation.
