Coat?

He was born august 8th. It kinda looks like a fever coat, but also a bit like smoke? We know for sure mom isn't/wasn't sick or under stress, so I'm not sure? He was born this way, just black with lighter areas. Mom is standard black ticked, dad is silver lilac ticked. Also, I just LOVE his little cheek stripes, what are those?

Genetics?

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I can't find genetics subreddit for dogs.
So anyway, I was looking for a dachshund puppy, and stumbled upon this girl. It's not the color I'm looking for, but still, I got very curious. What are her genetics? I never saw a dog with ears like these! Last two pictures are her sibling and her parents (Is it true? No idea. Owners said so). I can guess she's ky/ky? Is that just a big black mask with at/at? But then why aren't her ears fully black?
(I would also be grateful if someone knows genetics subreddit I can go to)

Shar-Pei mix — what to expect?

So for a little backstory, my mom had dogs her whole life and now my parents have a year old Jagterrier.
I've only had dog breeds who were sort of thrown at me even though I wanted a different breed (I've raised a Wolfspitz (Gigantic Deutscher Spitz) and two Welsh Corgis that my mom bought for me. I did not like their personalities whatsoever). I hate hyperactive dogs, and those breeds who just jump in my face asking for attention — probably because I'm a very mellow and quiet person.
I have heart problems, chronic migraines and dry eye syndrome, so I can't run around with a dog or go outside often. So, I actually wanted a mix breed — a Dalmatian and someone lazier who doesn't need much activity, like a Greyhound. I love longhair Dalmatians so much, but I understand I won't be able to support such an active breed.
But life is life, and right now, we have an opportunity to take in a Shar-Pei mix who is about 3-4 weeks old. We're gonna go see him this Monday, so I'm here to ask — what should we expect if we do end up taking him? Personality, training, size? Are they food motivated in training? Do they like training or are more stubborn (god knows corgis were stubborn…)? I think he looks like a Shar-Pei x some sort of Pitbull mix, although I am not a professional. He also seems to have high white, and I'm not sure Shar-Peis carry white? Again, not a professional, I have to idea what is going on with that. And I know with a mutt you can literally get anything, but still, what is most likely?
We have a huge house with a yard and a lot of cats, my parent's dog lives in a different place. My step-sister is seven and visits sometimes, but no kids live in the house. So, will that dog be okay for me? Or should I wait and find some other breed?
