Printing a UMII8-22 Ultimax II 8" Sub....

UMII8-22 Ultimax II 8"

Just made my first desktop speakers and somebody had to say "why not a sub?"

This will be a down firing up ported(for now) 22.5mm thick walls that i can thin for a bit more volume if needed.

I hope the math in the program is right with 35hz assuming i plugged in everything right(very new to this) but AI had a similar response so hoping we good.

Already did test prints with all the tight fits and we are already printing the top half.

Printing time for 5walls/30inf is 36HR per half and 3.5 ROLLS of filament each...

Hate it? think I should change it up? think it will blow up?

New printed design for overnights

Got bored and threw together a simple 3D printed MTM version of the overnight sensation and they are decent so far.
Pla-cf .6 nozz 40inf 5walls. It feels nice and substantial as it’s more than a roll per half
Need a mic to test I think I need a rib in there or just expand the joint area which will make putting them together better.
Rounded everything to .5in went against advice and kept my bass port a weird shape but it fits great on the desk.

Needs feet, maybe to not round the bottom, grill? Maybe cloth?
Now to test and make some changes while I decide on final color and all that.
At some point I’d love to make a few versions of the same speaker in a few different filaments and compile any measurable differences.(can’t be that much right?)

Help with Bass port

Alright so I am loosie goosie making an overnight sensations MTM build for my desk. I want to print em so I am playing with dimensions and stuff on 360, I was wondering if there was an easy way to calculate the bass port length? I still need to learn more about the math and theories behind designs. Any workflow or whatever suggestions is appreciated, I am only like a month into this program/3d stuff.

First Learn

I decided while I had some time I’d learn some skills. A long long time ago I started a tube amp project the “jonokuchi” (which is getting an enclosure revamp soon so I can SLOWLY learn fusion) but figured if I’m FINNALY finishing the amp project why not more at the same time…
Ouroboros under construction (golems mod) almost ready to listen. I hate the color for the headband need prettier TPU for that…
4pin mini XLR to 3.5TRS to use with my Beyers and practice my soldering. Wrapped the paracord right over the metal shielding… don’t like the feeling… too stiff and holds bends. Don’t look under the shrink.
Looking for advice on cable sleeving before i use up my mogami.

Something something DAP

First new player since my iPod 5.5G. FIIO JM21.
eBay’d the DT700… their fake (pic of fake insides for curious), opened em up to put in different port… “the speaker is soldered?” and yeah asking for money back but their like not terrible just sound off. Me ole Fidelio x3 still good doh. Just want some closed backs so nobody can judge my music.
