New to this sub, here's what I've been drawing》》

I'm a comic nerd, but I love street art too. Recently seeing an artist I know using 228 labels, I felt inspired. Something about the limited space and pre-printed words clicks for me. Also the activist/protest idea is very engaging as well. I like to try Art for fun with regular orientation, but when I do Art for Activism, I like to invert the label for protest (not always, but mostly)

*sorry for the repost. My images were mixed up and badly cropped, hopefully it is cleaner now

Advice needed for Beginner project

Hello. I'm new to resin casting so consider me an almost complete novice. My 16 yr old cat recently passed, and I made these sculpey impressions of her nose and paw. I've sealed them with two layers of sculpey satin glaze and applied two coats of alumilite mold release. Is this going to be enough to get a clean casting using Osbang UV resin? The last thing I want to do is mess up the sculpey pieces since I cannot recreate them, so I wanted to ask here before I attempt it. My hope is to create a small facsimile of the nose at least, so that I can boop her snoot again and maybe make a piece of jewelry in the future. I know sculpey is certainly not the best material here, but I was in quite an emotional time crunch and it was the best I could do. See photos. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Creepy Crawlers, animated series, 1995

Found some old Saban studio tapes at a sale recently. There were a bunch of these. I remember the toy machine. Anyone remember this show?

Found my homemade VHS copy of "Generation X" from 1996

I unpacked some of my childhood vhs tapes the other day. This was in there. I loved the Generation X comic (1994-), especially the early issues, so let's just say I was a little disappointed with this first live action attempt at xmen. But it does have a certain level of nostalgia gold to it, at least for me. The commercials are intact too, so it's quite a time capsule. I also glued a few Generation X logos onto the tape from the action figure packaging. See photos in comments. Too bad this didn't get a series pickup, it could've been truly terrible 😅

So, having recently heard and seen the news that Disney has let go the entire Vis Dev team from Marvel Studios, which is truly sad and a bad move imho, I noticed a post on my ig feed from someone who just GOT a job at Marvel Studios. So I looked at their work, and I wish I could say I was surprised, but I expected it to be ai slop, AND it was... So they fired all the actual artists and are now hiring slop slingers to replace them. Maybe I'm connecting dots too generously, but it seems pretty cut and dry. Sigh

Hid the "artist's" info because I'm not about targeting anybody on socials. To me this is a perfect example of the problems with capitalism where corporations value the bottom line above EVERYTHING else...

▲ 973 r/lego

I don't buy a lot of legos as an adult, but I saw this the other day and it hurt my heart. Some kid had a lego gameboy set and it must've fallen or been thrown out of a car while someone was dropping off mail. Oh well, I'll keep these few bits (I'm a zelda fan anyway). True tragedy 😔 😢
