Sold jet-ski, buyer says it needs thousands of dollars in repairs....wtf?

I don't know if anyone can provide thoughts advice, etc.

I sold my jet ski last week, the buyer messages me the next day to tell me it's taking in water. He told me there was a hose loose on the pump, he tightened it back up, and all was well.

He messaged me today, saying it was still taking on water, he took it to a dealer who told him there was a hole in the hull, likely from rubbing against the trailer that the mechanic said was too small for the machine- I only had the machine+trailer for one year and that's the trailer the original owner bought it with and that's what I got. The dealer told him it would be over $3k (CAD) to fix.

I had the machine professionally winterized and the machine was always tight on the winch strap when on the machine. It was never docked so was never rubbing anything. I had no issues at end of last season and did not notice any marks or anything on the hull. The seller did not want to test drive when he bought it.

I am a brutally honest guy and would NEVER sell anything that I knew had a problem. The story just sounds fishy. I asked him to get the mechanic to call me and I want to see pics of the issue. Do I owe this guy anything? I know some will say no and buyer beware, others will say to square up.

Any responses/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is Poenari in late October do-able?

Hello, I'll be visiting in October of this year due to my gf being in school and that being the only time she won't miss any classes.

We plan on renting a car in Deva and going to Poenari. I know they say that the  Transfăgărășan may be closed but know there are other ways to get there if it is. I just worry about weather.

I know no one can predict the weather but is Poenari in late typically Oct. do-able? Thanks in advance.

Vanilla Coke?

I know there's been a few posts but they're 5-6 months old so wondering if anyone has any updated info.
Looking for Vanilla Coke. I have tried Independent, No Frills, Sobeys Lansdowne, and Superstore. I was at FreshCo a few months ago and they didn't have any either.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Train vs Bus Brasov to Sigishoara?

I know the train is longer, but like the idea of more space and bigger windows to enjoy the views. However, I've seen some posts advising against the train between these 2 areas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best mode of transportation from Brasov train station to Old Town?

Visiting in Oct. Would it be bus, taxi, Uber, or Bolt (which I am just learning about)?

Thanks!

I am looking at a transition to IT however as it stands now my only experience is technical writing and training for a group of ministry-specific applications.

I am looking at returning to school part-time to better my chances of earning a position but not sure which direction to go. I was thinking database admin which I’m a little familiar with, data analysis, or Azure.

If someone could comment RE: what they see as the higher demand positions, I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

19 years in community corrections. Trying my best to move into IT or policy, getting meetings with managers just for them to say "thanks for your interest! We don't have anything but will keep you in mind." I've polished my resume and I think it's pretty good.

Is it just me, or is it hard right now? If anyone has any leads, feel free to DM me.
