My first twinning experience with the Volt.
Hi folks, got a unique one. A friend brought a miniPC over that wasn't working and we identified some obvious signs of damage to the board (scratches, missing or off-kilter transistors, etc).
I'm sure this could be repaired but I'm having difficulty tracking down pictures that show the board details intact.
If anyone happens to have one of these boards and can help me with some closeups of the components, it'd be greatly appreciated.
This is the corner on the other side of the board from the power button.
High voltage battery only had half a charge when I started running the inverter, but it got us nearly 12 hours of use before the gas engine has kicked in to keep it topped off.
I tested the inverter with our chest freezer first, it worked on the first go, then I swapped over to the full size fridge along with the house fans. Tried to switch over to the chest freezer this morning but it keeps popping the GFCI on the inverter, even as the only device, so I guess we're just gonna have to cross our fingers and throw the most important stuff in the full size fridge. Better than a total loss. Won't have power until at least tomorrow evening, if our worthless power company is to be believed.
So one of the groups I'm in has suddenly had a bunch of content pop back up with recent date and timestamps, but they're all old posts which can be easily identified by the post content or the dates of the comments.
This is just one example, a post that someone made back in October 2025 (which has the original date of the post in its body since it's part of a "daily" post rule in the group) is showing as May 27th, 2026. But you can see from one of the comments that the post has to have been made back in October 2025.
There's a whole bunch of other posts from September to December 2025 that appears to have been dredged up and re-dated inexplicably, and with zero new interactions or edit history.
Anyone else seen this sort of behavior?
My first machine was an Ender 3 Pro, which I heavily modified over the years and have been fairly happy with. An opportunity to get a Prusa XL as part of a business grant program came up and I took it, so now I gotta try and learn all the stuff that's unique to this ecosystem.
I had been using Cura so Prusaslicer definitely feels like a different can of worms.
Some general questions:
Anyways, any info or tips folks can throw at me that'll help me settle into this machine would be greatly appreciated! Cheers.
