Fiber dropped after wife called to renew plan

Hi Ziply Support,

My fiber and phone just cut out. I’ve got blue lights on my Aginet devices. Coincidently, my wife had just gotten off the phone to renew our plan with you.

Could this have caused something unexpected on the back end? We live in Glacier, WA, where there is not cell service, so 100% reliant on your service to for instance call 911.

Can you help?

Thanks.

Looking for a good basic guide on residential interior lighting design

In the middle of an apartment renovation where all bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen, and parks of living room were renovated. Also, all new windows and sliding doors.

The place is top floor, Seattle, west facing, ten foot ceiling heights, one room with sloped 18° ceilings above the ten foot usual.

Altogether, the unit has 29 recessed ceiling can lights, mostly all 6” with a handful of 4” and one gimbal. I am replacing them all with DMF Lighting M-Series retrofits. Taking them all to four inch.

Where I need to educate myself is the whole area around lighting design - wall washing, optics, beam angle, trim and trim effect, color temp (K), directional vs straight, lumen, etc.

Does anyone know of any online resources that are really solid and available that I can use to educate myself? I’ve gotten some help from a designer at DMF, but I can’t keep bugging this poor guy who has been generous with his time.

So, any suggestions?

TYIA!

Asking for recommendation: retrofits for 4” & 6” canned lights with LEDS

I have read through a bunch of the earlier postings with similar questions. I’m in the midst of a home renovation. Eight to ten foot foot ceilings. Modern home.

Lights to be replaced are: 20 x 6”; 4 x 6” angled (ceiling); 1 (or 5) 6” gimbal (I may use these for directional counter lighting in the kitchen); and 2 x 4”.

My GC wants to install the Home Depot 5/6” Commercial Electric retrofits. Granted they haven’t changed much in seven years, but every led I’ve gotten at HD has either failed or dimmed or gone blinky on me. That said, I’ve had great success with Rabb lighting for outdoor stuff.

I would really like truly high CRI (95) - not just fudged; I like the dim to warm feature on some of them; dimmable to very low levels; variable color temp is nice; and would love the easiest install without having to rewire the J-boxes, which I guess means an e-26 plug/adaptor. Light quality, consistency, wet rated, 50k hours; and little failure are big deals for me.

I’ve seen lots of good comments around Elco-Koto, DMF, and perhaps Nora. I don’t want to spend $250 per light, though, which I gather is the range for DMF. Finding info on pricing for Elco-Koto is proving daunting.

Given what I’m looking for does anyone have a good suggestion? Can the Koto’s truly be retrofit into existing cans or is it more a tear out and rebuild? How much do the Koto’s run in cost?

Thanks in advance. I’m over my head and trying to work through this.

Help adding HB610 agent to network

I purchased a HB610 slave/agent router and I’m trying to add it to an existing network consisting of a HB810 and one HB610.

When I look at the existing HB610, it’s marked as Backhaul and the three frequencies: 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz. The new HB610 doesn’t show Backhaul, only signal source.

I added the new HB610 using the Aginet phone app add agent selection. It’s green lit and running but only as a wired router - it’s not part of the mesh network, nor broadcasting.

Does anyone know where there are better instructions on how to add mesh devices to the existing network? Should I have used the create a network setting to add the new router?

I’ve reset and rebooted the new unit. I’ve also tried to do the addition through my laptop plugged directly into the new unit and it doesn’t find the new mesh unit when it scans for it.

Could the unit be bad? The first HB810 that the Ziply guy tried to install was bad and he had to bring in a new one from the truck.

I can’t figure out what is wrong. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Can an HB810 work with two HB610s?

I have an HB810 with a HB610 as a slave mesh router. Can I install a second wired HB610 with this setup? This would be to improve coverage in an area of the home that doesn’t have strong signals.

Thanks.

What countries have continued to treat pain management patients without onerous controls?

Really simple question.

Living in a country that has become draconian in treating pain in acute, chronic, and surgical patients, my question is are there any countries where it is possible to find physicians who continue to be able to properly treat pain patients? Basically looking to be able to continue day-to-day life like working, walking the dogs, enjoying kids, cooking, driving, walking.

As someone with multiple orthopaedic surgeries who is now facing a new one due to a failing fusion, where can one go for proper pain management? By proper, I mean simply treatment that allows a patient to continue with normal daily life.

In the past my pain was very well controlled and I actually was able to reduce my mme equivalent due to a creative pain management physician who sadly has retired. I currently live in probably the worst state for PM in the USA.

Thanks.

Affordable TBE vaccine in US

I will likely be spending considerable amounts of time in Sweden (Västra Götaland) where the ticks are out of control. I understand that TBE is a problem there and that one doesn’t want to catch TBE.

I want to start the Ticovac series before I go over, but it’s quite costly in the U.S. and not covered by insurance. Anyone know of any government programs that would underwrite the three shot series in the U.S.?
