The plateau thing my doctor did not talk to me about on GLP-1

I stalled for over 2 m9nths and spent weeks with a high conviction that the medication stopped working for me

What was actually happening to me was that my appetite suppression had quietly taken my intake too low for too long and my metabolism had adapted to match.

The fix did not seem logical at first but eating slightly more, specifically more protein spread through the day and restarted things within a few weeks

what actually helped me understand it was the fact that there are actually several different types of plateaus on glp1 and they each have a different cause so treating them all the same way is why most people stay stuck.

Dose tolerance, metabolic adaptation, composition shifts and hidden calorie creep all feel identical on the scale but respond to completely different approaches.

For anyone who wants it I put together a free guide covering how i did it.

Has anyone else broken through a long stall by eating more rather than less?

What I eat on GLP-1 days when I'm not really good

I'm really curious about what everyone's go-to is because this community always has better answers than Google.

after six months of figuring it out that cold cottage cheese straight from the fridge no smell, no prep, high protein, goes down easy even on the worst nausea days.

and plain crackers when even that feels like too much.

Protein shake I know sits well, and i learned the hard way that the sweetener matters more than the brand. i found out that sorbitol and maltitol are hidden sulfur burp triggers on a slowed gut.

Room temperature broth when I need something without smell or texture.

None of it is exciting to me. Instead all of it keeps me functional.

I used a certain GLP-1 eating guide that covers bad day nutrition, safe foods, and the how to handle these things,

Here is the link for anyone who wants it.

Three months in and I finally figured out why I felt terrible every afternoon

I kept thinking the fatigue was the medication. Turns out I was barely eating protein because nothing sounded good and I was letting appetite suppression make my food decisions.

The shift that changed everything: eating by the clock instead of by hunger. Breakfast at 8 whether I wanted it or not. Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, egg whites — foods that go down easy even on rough days.

Within two weeks the afternoon crashes stopped completely.

If you're exhausted and not sure why — check your protein before assuming it's the medication. It was the answer for me.

Happy to share the full framework that helped if anyone wants it

Quick question for anyone on GLP-1 medications

Are you losing weight but feeling exhausted, dealing with side effects, or hitting a wall the medication isn't fixing anymore?

That's usually a nutrition problem not a medication problem — and it's very fixable.

DM me GUIDE if you want the details. 👇
