ONE MONTH FOUNDAYO REVIEW: Coming from Compounded Sema

Hi all, figured I'd share a proper month one update because I couldn't find many honest ones when I was just starting out.

overall down 2.1lbs: Had a wedding, a birthday weekend and a work trip this month so not stressed about the number at all, water weight and life happened

side effects: Constipation is the one nobody warned me about. cCming from compounded sema the GI experience is noticeably different and honestly worse in this specific way. Currently experimenting with more fiber and magnesium glycinate at night, slowly getting better.

the good stuff: Coming into my last week on the starter dose I can genuinely feel the appetite suppression now. It's not dramatic but it's there hunger shows up, I eat, it quiets down. No urge to just eat to eat which is actually huge for me personally.

Inflammation is also down which i wasn't expecting this early. also on metformin for insulin which i think is helping the overall picture

stats: 5'4 | CW 174lbs | 32F | goal 148

Moving up to the next dose tomorrow and genuinely excited to see what month two looks like.

anyone else find the constipation worse than their previous GLP experience and what actually helped

About to start sema

Please relieve my anxiety. I am so nervous after reading some of this thread of the side effects. Of course before I discussed with my provider I knew there would be side effects, she assured me they’d be mild. It looks like she sent in .5 for my first dose. I have a baby and can’t be out of commission after my shots. I have a few questions

  1. what do I need on hand (besides zofran) to make this process easier — vitamins, other relief outlets, etc.
  2. I’m committed to making diet changes. BUT am I really gonna throw up for days if I have a slice of pizza or burger? (Based on what I’ve read)
  3. how do you split your doses into two?

Please give me all your tips and tricks. My BMI is 34 and I NEED this to change my life. I’m tired of hating myself.

Thanks in advance.

Sema to Tirz, then back to Sema again after side effects?

Would love to know if anyone has switched back to Sema after terrible gastric side effects from Tirz? I was on Sema under a practitioner for approx 6 months with not much effect (I admit I wasn’t putting the work in). Switched to Tirz at their recommendation and almost immediately had terrible gastric side effects. Terrible central stomach pain and tightness. Bloods were taken and all came back fine with the exception of slightly
Elevated pancreatic enzymes. Months later the gastric issues continued and I had to have my gallbladder removed. All has been fine since and I am considering trying a very low dose of Sema again (I will be working with a doctor if I go down this route). Has anyone ever had a bad reaction to Tirz but were fine on Sema?

Trying to titrate slowly but…..

I’m currently on 1.25 mg. I was hoping ideally I wouldn’t have to have a very high dose, but I’m still getting food noise and finding myself overeating sometimes. I definitely get fuller faster, but my hunger rages at night. I’m trying to eat more throughout the day to possibly combat this.

I had planned to go up to 1.5 mg this week, but should I jump to 1.7? Like I said I’ve been titrating extremely slowly and am having a little bit of success but I am still really fighting the food noise. I find that when I first increase dose the food noise seems to stop for a week or so and then it comes back ever so slightly and just keeps building. I’m so afraid of going up too high too fast and ending up in the ER like others though 🤣

Plateau Help

Have been on Semaglutide for 6 months. I have lost 18lbs. Very slow progress but scale sometimes goes up and have been bouncing at 169/170 for a while now. I tract my food religiously and prior protein. Currently at .60ml units and that makes me nauseous on and around injection days.

Should I take wean off and then back on? Any advice?

I'm broke and want semiglutide. Any legit sellers on Indiamart?

Hey, broke ass Canadian here. I heard about the collapse in price fpor the semiglutide industry in India(for the shots), and I wanna get some from there without dying.

Do you know any sellers on Indiamart that can properly control the temperature before it gets to you, and isn't a scam? They can't all be scams, or else nobody would buy again after being burned, or am i wrong?

3 months on compounded semaglutide as a woman in her 40s, honest update with actual numbers

Wanted to write the post i was looking for when i started and couldn't find.

I'm 43, was about 30 lbs over where i felt good, had tried the usual stuff for years with inconsistent results. Started compounded sema through gimme care after a lot of research and second guessing.

Month 1: down 7 lbs, nausea was real the first two weeks, manageable after that. Month 2: down another 6 lbs, nausea basically gone, energy stable. Month 3: down another 5 lbs, things feel more like maintenance mode now.

Total: 18 lbs in 3 months. I still exercise and eat carefully, this isn't a replace everything solution. But the appetite piece made everything else easier.

The provider side has been fine, no drama, pricing has been what they said it would be. I feel like not so many people talk about the very beginning of all this process.

Compounded semaglutide skeptic, three months later

Spent about four months reading everything I could find before pulling the trigger. Every forum, every comparison, every horror story. I was genuinely convinced I was going to get a vial of sugar water or something that would give me a bad reaction.

Three months in and I don't know what I was so worried about. The appetite suppression is real, the food noise is real, I'm down 19 pounds. Pricing has been exactly what was shown before I signed up.

The thing that finally got me past the hesitation was finding a provider that was upfront about which pharmacy they use and offered certificates of analysis on request. If you're in the research spiral right now, that's probably the thing to focus on.

What I eat on GLP-1 days when I'm not really good

I'm really curious about what everyone's go-to is because this community always has better answers than Google.

after six months of figuring it out that cold cottage cheese straight from the fridge no smell, no prep, high protein, goes down easy even on the worst nausea days.

and plain crackers when even that feels like too much.

Protein shake I know sits well, and i learned the hard way that the sweetener matters more than the brand. i found out that sorbitol and maltitol are hidden sulfur burp triggers on a slowed gut.

Room temperature broth when I need something without smell or texture.

None of it is exciting to me. Instead all of it keeps me functional.

I used a certain GLP-1 eating guide that covers bad day nutrition, safe foods, and the how to handle these things,

Here is the link for anyone who wants it.

What are yours?

Stalled even after splitting dose

Hey fam, I need some advice. I recently decided to split my dose after a stall and side effects, but I'm still stuck. I was doing 0.75mg (30 units) and when I went to increase I split my dose to 0.63 (25 Units) on Thursday (OG shot day) and added a little 0.3mg (12 units) on Monday morning. I did also switch meds a few weeks ago from Ro to Hallendale. While splitting my dose seems to have helped with the shot day nausea and gas/bloating, I haven't lost any weight in a few weeks now.

Should I suck it up and just stick to a once weekly dose of 1mg? Should I lower my dose and see if that helps get back on track? (Stick to 0.75 once a week) or try something else altogether? I'm petite/short, so losing and gaining the same 2lbs is sucking the life out of my progress. I don't track calories because it makes me crazy, but I do watch what I eat and have a good handle on food/nutrition. I lost decently when I started, and most of the side effects have diminished, but maybe I'm just used to the dose now or something.

Comparing GLP-1 Telehealth providers: Does paying more equal better service?

Prices for compounded meds range from $99 to $400+ a month depending on the provider. I’m curious if anyone has figured out what you're actually paying for at the higher end

I've been using Cora Health (trycora) for a few months now and it's been a genuinely good experience. Great customer service and I’ve been losing weight lol. No complaints on my end.

I’m happy where I am, but I'm curious what people's experiences have been with some of the bigger names and higher price points.

  • Eden Health — seems well regarded but I've seen some Reddit threads mention slow customer service and refund issues when things go wrong. Anyone have recent experience?
  • Amble Health - I get ads non stop from them and they seem pretty polished, has anyone actually tried?
  • Ro Body — looks polished and has an insurance concierge which is appealing, but the membership fee on top of medication cost feels like a lot. Worth it?
  • TrimRx — I've seen a weird split where Trustpilot looks great but Reddit and BBB paint a different picture. What's the actual experience like?
  • Trimi — less info out there on this one. Anyone used them?

Also generally curious:

  • Does compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide work as well as the brand-name stuff in your experience?
  • Hidden fees to watch out for, especially dose escalation price jumps?
  • How's provider responsiveness when you actually have a question?
  • Does paying more with certain providers equal better experiences?
  • Any difficulty cancelling / refunds?

Not trying to push anything, just want real patient experiences. I just see sooo many providers charging all over the place and im curious as to why and if that price tag equals better service. Appreciate any honest takes.

Feeling discouraged

SW: 157.8 (may 5th, also first injection)

Sat May 9th: 153.6 (a few things happened that had me feeling depressed and could barely eat)

Sat May 16th: 155.2

Today: 154.6

Tomorrow I will give myself my 3rd injection (0.22mg)

I guess I’m just feeling discouraged and don’t know if this weight loss is good or if I should be doing more. I’m trying to eat smaller portions, enough protein, drink water and as far as exercise I’m just walking more (two kids under 3 so it’s hard). I notice less night time cravings but I feel more appetite and cravings the day before my next shot.

4th dose but only lost 6 lbs

I took my 4th dose of compounded semaglutide on May 15th - I started with .2mg for 2 weeks and .4mg for 2 weeks. I feel like the meds should be working, my appetite is incredibly suppressed and I’m eating minimally. I’ve also changed how I eat drastically, cooking meals at home, focusing on protein and not snacking as much throughout the day. Is it normal to only lose 6 lbs in a month? Am I just on a very low dose? I ordered through Gimme Care and they used the pharmacy Align. I’ve ready mixed reviews about Gimme using ProRX pharmacy but not a lot from Align.

Did anyone else have a slow start to their weight loss?

Slowing Down a little

I've been on my semiglutide since the beginning of January. I've made really great progress. SW 218 CW 188. I've been on the max dose (for me) at 56 units for the past month and recently I've felt a little more hungry than I was when I first started out. I still don't eat much, but I get a lot of cravings which I didn't really have before. Also my weight has been going back and forth a lot, much more than it used to. And its really not a huge deal because I'm talking like 1 pound back and forth. But I've been eating healthy and working out 4-5 times a week. So I'm not sure why I'm feeling a struggle now. 3 weeks ago I hit 188, 2 weeks ago I was 187 and this week I was 188 again. I'm not sure if this is a stall or what. My plan ends at the beginning of June and I'm not sure if its worth staying on or not, if maybe the medication isn't working as well as it had in the past. I keep my own log of my weigh-ins and since I started in January I've always lost at least 1lb every week so I guess that's why I'm a little concerned that maybe I have just gotten used to the medication and maybe its not the best idea to pay all that money for an additional 6 months.

So my question is, has anyone else stayed at the same dose for a full 6 months and had success within that time? Or should I ask for my dose to be increased? My goal weight is 160

Is -2lbs in 2 weeks normal?

I’ll add that my BMI is 25, but I have 20 lbs to lose. I started 2 weeks ago, 0.25. I’ve lost a whopping 2lbs 🙄 I am doing strength training 4x/ week with one active rest day. Weekends I try to do treadmill otherwise it’s just errands and chore movement. Should I be expecting more of a loss (I am for sure eating less but prioritizing protein and hitting 100g/day)??

Can anyone provide an update on Apollo Care Pharmacy?

I use Trillium and they offer additive free through Apollo Care (have had great experience with Apollo), but with the last order I made, i was told Apollo stopped compounding Sema. Also saw some posts that were evidence of some issues with their quality control (never experienced firsthand but was horrified when I saw pictures lol), which tracked with the info that they stopped compounding it.

I was told by Trillium that I would receive meds from VialsRX instead, and they were transferring my prescription over. When my meds were delivered, it was from Apollo! Lolol the vials looked clear and fine, and since I’m familiar with Apollo I wasn’t too worried. I did reach out to support because I was confused as I thought they had stopped compounding. They said from their end I would still be getting meds from VialsRX. The very next day I received the meds from them as well! (Love Trillium btw). I’m happy for the extra meds but it has me wondering, where will my next shipment come from 🤔 lol according to trillium and other sources they’ve stopped compounding, did I just get the last of their stock? Am I crazy to still hope Apollo continues to provide my meds? LOL I love additive free and Hallandale doesn’t ship to my state.

Can anyone provide any clarification with certainty on the status of ApolloCare?
