Discovered a new trick once in 2024, and never done it again…

What happened to Kyle Vaughan?
Kyle was 24 when he disappeared from Newbridge, South Wales, on 30 December 2012. His damaged car was found on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys. The case later became a murder investigation, but no one has been charged.
I’ve put together a sourced write-up of the case here, focusing on the known facts and the impact on his family with links. I’d be grateful for any corrections, additional sources, or respectful discussion.
Hi,
I’ve got previous experience working in McDonald’s both as customer care and Crew.
I applied back in mid May and they let me know they to apply back mid June as that’s when the new student friendly jobs would go live.
I also applied in mid May to Sainsbury’s who got back to me end of May offering me a job but im currently hating my shifts (6hr shifts and overtime is only for my exact shift pattern, no flexibility). I’m on probation and only been at Sainsbury’s a week.
I’ve mentioned this in my new maccies application.
If I say about how the working hours were not as described (eg overtime) and the fact I prefer working in a place such as McDonald’s - is the one week at Sainsbury’s likely to be an issue?
**EDIT**
Update: They rang back today and asked how soon I can start- which I said Thursday as end of my 2 weeks, and they said they’d get me in either Thursday or Friday depending on schedules! So all good and not to panic. Thank you for the helpful comments x
Hi all!
I applied for a job with a Sainsbury’s Local at the end of May, had an interview the following week (04/06/26) and they called me back an hour later to verbally extend a job offer- which was great! However today it still says “under consideration” and I’ve had no further contact.
I did inform them I have a holiday in July (5-11th) but they said to not worry and they would schedule me in a start date etc, also told them I’d need to hand in two weeks notice for my current job, which would end 18th June) so maybe a factor as I told them I do not plan to have a second job while at Sainsbury’s?
Any reason to worry at this point? I’m planning on shooting the manager a text tomorrow just to confirm but wanted to see if it’s maybe me over thinking things
Hi,
So I currently work nightshifts in a care home where we have no relief staff and even less to cover nightshifts at all if needed, and only two people at my home (me being one of them) work nights.
Due to unforeseen circumstances as of this Monday, I'd be unable to travel to work from next Friday (12th)
The circumstances are that I now have unreliable transport due to my motorbike breaking down and not having the money currently for repairs or a new bike.
As such, I have given a week's notice and have been really apologetic,c but realistically, there wasn't much I could do, as by car, my job is 30-45 mins away depending on traffic, and public transport costs would be through the roof £44 for a one way trip to my workplace(not near any bus stops or trains, so would be getting taxis).
While I know this will put them out, is this likely to be understandable?
Hey everyone,
So I had a job interview today at 3 pm, finished at 3:25 pm, and saw the next guy being interviewed as I walked out.
,
They tried to call me at 4:05 pm, but I missed it, so I called back at 5 pm, and they said I'd gotten the job, etc., and I made sure to mention my holiday again during the first week of July, and they said they would pencil it in, also confirmed I would give me two weeks' notice today and theyd get a start date for me soon.
My candidate profile still says under consideration, and I haven't received any emails for my NI, etc.
I understand its same day etc so could just come through tomorrow but im a little nervous as i just handed my notice in and wanted to confirm if its likely that ive defo got the job?
thank you :)
