Ok. Best fries in the county and some of the best I have ever had - in fact, I couldn't tell you another fry that was better except for a batch of McDonalds fries fresh out of the fryer.

Super crispy, seasoned well and FRIED IN BEEF TALLOW!!! 10/10

Double Smashie with crisp onions. This is a hard battle between this version and Bear City Social - although $10 is cheaper than Bear's. Super tasty sauce and expertly crafted smashed patties with REAL American cheese. Yes, there is REAL American cheese and then there is the cheesefood stuff... know your melty cheeses folks! 9/10

Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger - well this is a special burger and it's not for everyone. I happen to love onions and this single patty with that pile of super thinly slices fried onions and cheese is really rich! I took a couple pickles from the smashie and stuck it in a bite of the onion burger and it was perfection! 9/10

Lemonade? Dang, this was excellent! Not too sweet, not too tart, just a perfect balance of both. 9.5/10

They are currently closed Tues/Wed but soon will be open 7 days a week for their first summer in Pismo. Go now, before the crowds - this is an awesome burger spot!

Blade finishes follow up

I made a post about preferences on blade finishes last week.

I really love my Kershaw Iridiums. The satin finish blade on the gray handle is my preference, but I really like the red anodized handles you can only get on Amazon.

I bought another pair and swapped the blades. The middle two are swapped and the outer two are original.

I like the red blade with the satin way better. The gray stonewash doesn't do anything for me at all, but it does look ok on the blue handle of the Iridium Launch.

Anyway, not all that interesting but it is what it is.

I have to admit I am fond of polished steel to the whole "silver" thing - doesn't have to be mirror polished, but I like the blade of my preferred knife to not be black or stonewashed, etc.

Is this something that has gone by the wayside?
