Contract or payroll?

I’ll be starting out soon in the field. Have started applying to positions. Contract positions are more tempting as pay seems higher. But payroll is also tempting because of benefits and consistency. Wanted to know everyone’s thoughts/experience here.

Do you prefer being on contract or payroll? Why or why not ?

What do you look for in an employer before choosing them. Any red flags to be vary of?

I’m in Toronto Canada if that matters

Navigating the system

For those of you who are either on the waitlist or already have a child receiving therapy.

How was the process? And how is it currently? Would you change anything about how things are done right now ? What are your pain points? I want to start my own therapy centre and make it the best one ever.

Location Canada

Navigating the system

Hello. I am not a parent to a an autistic child but I am a parent. I am however a brother to a high functioning adult sister on the spectrum and 10 year old boy first cousin.

My sister only got diagnosed as an adult, which breaks my heart. I wish we were able to get her the necessary help and therapy on time. Fortunately better late than never, and now that we’re aware we’re all stepping up.

My cousin however, fortunately got diagnosed when he was 18 months old so he got help a lot sooner.

I’ve seen both their cases up close and realized the system failed them in one way or another. For example my cousin despite getting his diagnosis was on the waitlist for nearly a year.

There’s just too much demand and not adequate supply. Therefore I have decided to open up my own centre and hire ABAs and therapists etc. I’ve already spoken to my aunt and sister and people in my network to try to learn their pain points. But I want make sure I build a place that takes any and every concern of the parents (and ultimately their child) into consideration. I want to learn from all of you your pain points navigating the system and finding the right therapy centre. What do you wish was different? Better? It can be process related or cost related or the actual therapy itself. Please share with me in the comments or via DM so I can take this into account and make it better

Thank you

What can a VPN reveal?

Trying to track down this person harassing my sister. I’m assuming it’s a dude but not 100% sure. I was able to find out his vpn, which lead to me getting a street address (but not exact house #) I want to be able to send cops or a cease and desist letter ideally. But don’t have exact location, phone number, email etc. is there a tool available (paid or free) that can use the VPN to find more information on this creep?

Anonymous X account

Is there a way to find the real person behind an anonymous X account? Please point me in the right direction. If you can do it I’m willing to pay. This X account regularly ruins peoples lives. Tried telling the police but they can’t do anything because it’s anonymous.

Starting on my own after leaving huge agency

I used to work for a really big marketing agency. They did everything from ads, to website design to marketing strategy etc. to give you an idea, they were one of the agencies big brands would get in touch with for Super Bowl ads. But I wasn’t part of this side of business. I was more on the design side and mostly worked on the website aspect and project manager for that. For example one of the notable clients I worked on was this guy who started an organic soap business on Etsy and then got bought out by Johnson and Johnson. I worked on a lot of e-commerce sites management, design and redesign

Anyways. All this to say, after some health issues and a divorce. I’m now venturing out on my own. I have a Non compete which expires in about a month that’s when I’ll be able to start properly.

What can I do now to best prepare for when my non compete expires? Where do people normally get leads for this?

This is probably a long shot. But are there any users here with large social media following of Shia muslims who’d be interested in collaborating with or promoting a Shia business? We can talk about compensation as well.

Requirements:
At least 5k followers (ig, TikTok, twitter, fb) doesn’t matter what platform
Followers must be majority 85%-90% Shia
Account type doesn’t matter it can be a personal account, religious account, business account etc
Compensation can be discussed based on # of followers, platform type and promotion type and frequency.

If you have any questions pls dm.

Looking to start or purchase a business in the healthcare sector. I myself am not a medical professional but I am an experienced entrepreneur and would be mostly looking after the operations side, whereas the actual services would be provided by RNs or certified professionals like (therapists etc)

I’m thinking of narrowing down to a niche like men’s health (similar to Gameday franchise) or mental health care or even an autism therapy etc.

Does anyone have experience with anything similar to above? Or any downsides to this?
