Immigrant families - can we talk?

Are there any immigrant Canadians here? I mean those like me who migrated 10-20yrs ago and have built a family here?.. if so, my question is - HOW ARE YOU GUYS DOING IT!! I'm talking about those like me who have minimal family support here (emotionally, physically and financially)... i personally am finding that juggling work, kids, house chores, etc is like this impossible trick that is just set to make you fail... like how am I supposed to do school drop off in the AM, give my all to work, but still have to leave early for school pickup, spend time with the kids enough to teach them to be decent human beings, do house chores, maintain friendship circles, go to the gym etc... back in our host countries in-house help was affordable but here its a significant expense..we do have a monthly cleaner which helps but thats a minute fraction of the overall workload.....families here are individualistic to a large extend so its not like my kids can easily do sleep overs to give me a breather...i feel like ive put my personal life on hold and im only give 20% to my needs (career, relationships, health etc) to be able to do all these and its exhausting physically and mentally... I know most Canadians have parents/in-laws that help out but a lot of us immigrants dont have that luxury unfortunately... im genuinely curious - how are you guys doing it and are there tips and tricks not to get burnt out and resentful of the beautiful life I have.... sorry if this comes across as a rant and forgive the spelling errors if any

Newbie here- curious to know how easy / hard it is now post-Trump

Hey guys, only started looking into TN options.. i think i have a strong profile and I can aim the big consulting firms specializing in my field... before I go down the rabbit hole of searching, wanted to get thoughts from folks here on how easy the search may have been in the recent past and if there are any tips / tricks that might help... realistically I know the US is either in a recession or nearing one, add that to the current immigration landscape and i can imagine how tough it might be... but on the flip side, the Canada job market isnt easy as well.. just wanted to assess thoughts on if its a complete shitshow now and I shouldn't even bother or if there is a strategy in place that might help... thanks!

How are Uber drivers affording these nice cars!

Im confused- I just ordered an Uber and it was a 2026 Lexus r350 (a really sweet ride for those who aren't into cars). Dude driving said he paid it off immediately. The trip cost about $30...I'm trying to do the maths and I dont get it - is uber that profitable?... similarly ive had 2026 Teslas and other really sweet rides pick me up for a very small Uber fee... how are Uber drivers affording these cars??😅.. not asking to be mean or to be a Karen, but I am genuinely curious. I considered doing Uber myself a few years back as I needed some additional cashflow and the maths didnt make sense so have things improved or what's going on???

Parents of Burlington, what activities are worth the $$ for a 3yr old boy

Hey folks, ive got an active 3yr old boy and i think its time to get him trying different things but im suffering from analysis paralysis. Lol... im curious if you are a parent here, what activities did you enroll your 3yr old in and was it worth the money?... i find average activities here are between 150-200 monthly which kinda adds up in this economy!... current options im thinking of are swimming and Kids strong.. hoping to hear from others as well. Leaving and rejoining after a couple years.. have you done this before?

If I leave RBC and return in the future, how is prior service treated for pension, vacation entitlement, and severance purposes?..
