Apologies if this has been posted before. Felt right for today.

I’ll try to keep this short. My neighbor was killed last October and had at least 2 feral cats inside her side of duplex. The landlady’s workers finally got them out and she instructed me not to feed them. I could not do that. They were terrified and hungry then winter got brutal and I made a place for them to stay semi warm. Now there is a litter of kittens that I snuck inside and navigated the mother inside until they were old enough to go back out. I didn’t want to put them outside, but right now not much choice. I was laid off my job last year and very limited funds for spay & neuter, but can try to pull it off when I get a cage for the mother. I’ve been trying to home them with the humane society and even the local animal shelter (where I’d would rather they not go). I know the landlady had a lot going on, but those were her tenant’s cats. It wasn’t fair to tell me just not to feed them and they’d go away. That’s not how it works. I can’t turn my back on them and I may wind up evicted because I’m having trouble finding them homes. Any ideas would be welcome. I’ve been working on this for months but everywhere I turn is not accepting kittens at this time. I am working on low cost spay for the mother cat. Thanks
