Anyone know what Aecon is doing around town? I see them going around with a vacuum truck pressure washing deep holes in front yards.

I’m guessing this is why all the gas line surveys went up a couple of weeks ago. The hole must be about 5-6 feet deep.

Looking for a prescription for dog Flea and Tick meds that I can fill at Costco. Where do you go and how much do they charge?

I’ve always got my meds from my vet and it’s around $200 for 3 pills for each dog. I asked how much they charge just to write a prescription to fill elsewhere and it’s $175. At first my wife asked and said it must be a misunderstanding since it was so high, so I called and confirmed that they in fact charge $175 just for the paper so it’s not worth it to fill your prescription anywhere else.

For those who fill your prescription through Costco, I’m wondering the following:

  1. How much does your vet charge for a prescription?
  2. Which clinic do you use?
  3. How much does Costco charge you to fill your prescription?
  4. Is your dog small, medium, or large? Mine are about 12 lbs each so they’d be cheaper than say an English mastiff.

Thanks everyone. Happy Friday!

For those with Freedom Mobile, how’s your experience with their 5G+ service around town?

Bonus if you could tell me whether or not you get service at Southlake Hospital. Thanks everyone.

For those who requested a second blue bin, have you received it yet?

Requested one at the beginning of the year. I think there was a small update that they wanted to wait and see how many people would request a small bin so they could better finalize necessary inventory for a second large bin.

Almost halfway through the year now and still nothing for me at least. Has anyone else received a second bin?

I’ve seen a couple houses get second bins, but I believe they’re split rentals.

Has anyone done the Warrior MMA after school program? Do they do normal training and go through belts, or is it more of a relaxed environment focused on burning some energy? Would you recommend it to others?

Basically just wondering the above questions. My daughter is 4 and starting school in the fall and I’m wondering if I should sign her up for a regular membership to go 3x a week or if the after school program would be a better fit.

As I’m writing this, I guess it would also be good to know how their shuttle bus that I see around works. Do they pick all the kids up from nearby schools and drop them off afterwards?

Thanks everyone!

My 4 y/o’s Jackson RR Minion Marvel Edition

Had a bunch of stickers collected from the grocery store so we decided to decorate my daughter’s guitar.

Just got my dock. Does this firmware update make sense?

Seems like a downgrade based on the version and date. Didn’t allow me to back out so I just went with it.

App won’t launch (Not Responding)

Update: Doing a factory reset on the headset got everything working again.

Anyone having issues the last few days when trying to play? Whenever I try to start the app it tries to load for about 5 seconds and then a black window comes up saying the app is not responding and I can either quit or wait.

I’ve tried waiting a bunch of times, but it never worked. Tried restarting the headset, tried force restarting, tried clearing the app cache, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and still the problem persists. I saw a couple recent reviews reporting the same problem.

Sucks because I saw some new DLC so I bought it but haven’t been able to play it.

This is on a Quest 3 and everything seems up to date. Are many of you having the same problem? Any tips or possible fixes? Other apps seem to be working fine.

Thanks for the help and have a nice day!

Am I going to have to cut down my “dwarf” cherry tree?

My wife and I were supposed to get married back in May 2020, but because of Covid we had to cancel. My wife was really upset, so I thought it would be a nice idea to plant a tree together on the day we were to marry.

I’m in the GTA so my backyard isn’t massive (main area is about 55 wide by 30 feet deep). We check out some garden centres and end up seeing sweet cherry tree for $65 that couldn’t have been more than 4 feet tall and maybe like 3/4” thick at the base and didn’t even have any branches. The info tag tied to the tree said it was a dwarf sweet cherry tree and would grow to about 10-12 feet tall on average.

Here I am 6 years later and this thing has been cruising along. The base of the trunk is just about 6 inches in diameter and I’m guessing close to 18 feet tall to the top. 2 years ago I went up and cut 4-5 feet off the top but it just came back in no time.

So here’s my concern. At the time it was suggested to plant the tree 6-10 feet away from the house so I did 8 because that’s what fit best around our patio stones. Seeing how big the tree is now I’m a little bit worried about to root system eventually causing issues with my basement which is a poured concrete foundation. My wife, daughter, dogs and myself all love the tree and how much shade it provides in the summer along with its cherries, but I worry that maybe this tree was mislabeled seeing how tall it has gotten.

Will I have to remove it or can I prune it back significantly next winter? I never really pruned it much besides branches close to the house because I just assumed it was going to stop growing.

I feel like I saw some tall money trees when I was at the business centre about a month ago, but I could be mistaken. I prefer shopping there, but if I’ll only find them on Harry Walker then I guess I’ll head that way. Thank everyone!
