Kacey should not be doing arenas
Hey guys, I’ll be in Charlotte on October 2nd for the tour! I bought a lower bowl ticket for $190 which I don’t mind because I LOVE Kacey and this will be my first time seeing her live.
However I’ve noticed that many tickets (particularly those up in the nosebleeds) are still WIDELY available. In today’s economy, most artists are selling out their venues mere hours after presale begins.
I know Kacey has a loyal fanbase, but the reality is it’s not large enough for arenas, ESPECIALLY for multiple nights in one city. The entire branding of “Middle of Nowhere” doesn’t make sense for large arena shows anyway. Why not do theater shows in smaller cities/towns? I’m sure they would sell out and I think people would be more excited to go.
This is not a lashing on Kacey Musgraves because I love the album; I love her entire discography actually. I would love for her to have more mainstream success, but for now I think her team should just embrace what the actual demand is.
