Turned 27 today and I’ve never truly had a boyfriend

I have a lot of dating experience but close to zero relationship experience. Getting dates is not really the issue for me… I find it harder to find somebody where it’s mutual and reciprocal. Mutual attraction and effort. Wanting the same thing.

Last year I met somebody in my daily life who I was attracted to. That has never happened to me before. I took up my courage to make the first move, but they didn’t want to date me.

This year a 4-year on and off connection I’ve had looked promising, but it ended just as fast.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have had a deep and intense desire to be with a partner where things feel just right. Not perfect, but perfect for each other. Somebody I can also call my best friend.

I’m afraid. I see people in my family or have acquaintances who are in their 30s and 40s and never really had a partner either. I fear that that might be my future as well.

Should I solo travel to LA for 8 days next year?

I’m an experienced female solo traveler, and for the entire duration of my stay I’d probably spend around 4k€ in total.

If you really think about it, what I’m mostly paying for is a specific ✨vibe✨. There are places around the world with prettier beaches where I’d probably get much more value for my money.

BUT I’ve never been to LA before and have barely seen anything of the US yet, so I honestly don’t know. It could still turn out to be an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience.

TL;DR: should I spend 4.000€ for a trip to LA next year in March?

(26F) Visiting Paris from Germany next Tuesday, May 19

I’m planning to check out a Filipino café during the day and have Filipino food for dinner later on. Would be fun to meet other solo travelers or anyone who’d like to join! 🇵🇭

Preferably other girlies, since I’m also looking for friends if possible..

Feel free to DM me and we can exchange *Instagram* first (requirement 😬🙂)

How do you know when to follow your head vs. your heart?

Have you ever made a decision that made no logical sense, but still felt right emotionally?

Like when something makes very little logical sense and could end badly, but emotionally still feels worth the risk.

I’m having a massive dilemma right now. Please help me out.

Edit:
to give more info:
if I chose heart, the worst thing that could happen is to get madly disappointed and/or end up heartbroken. That’s the number 1 biggest risk.
