Gen ed not scheduled?

For those whos programs are self register; have any of your gen ed courses been scheduled/available to add to your shopping cart yet?

I spoke to student services when my shopping cart first opened; and they said that they are slowly being scheduled, but my enrolment begins tomorrow at 9am and none of my elective options are showing as available! Is this typical? I was hoping to see ahead of time what would work with my classes, as every class except one only has one time slot available, so im working with a super rigid schedule! I wouldnt want to enroll in all my classes only to find out my top pick elective is scheduled at a time that would conflict with my only class that has another option available!

Additionally, im pretty disappointed with the electives available for 1st year BPSYC students; does anyone know if these options change throughout the program? I was hoping to take an indigenous culture or history focused course at some point, which ive heard others take, but isnt an option for me i guess!

Gen Ed courses help

Ive been seeing a lot recently about gen ed courses that offer a lighter workload, but none of the options ive been seeing posts about are listed for me! I was excited to take an indigenous culture related course, but it doesnt seem to be an option! I'm wanting something with a lighter workload but also a topic am actually interested in 😅

Anyone take any of these?

My options are

Exploring the Mind Body Connections

Anatomy and Physiology

Foundations of Business Mgmt

Current Topics Admin-Proj Mgmt

Science Technology and Society

Introduction to Sociology

Introduction to Philosophy

Philosophy seems like it would be really interesting but i'm worried about the difficulty; my courseload seems pretty heavy and the schedule is absolutely horrid 😂

Blood pressure 144/104, doctor says this is normal?

26yr old Female

Family history of cardiovascular issues such as heart disease, heart attacks before age 35, high BP, and AFIB.

Personal Health history: anxiety attacks and ADHD

History of BP: has always been perfectly normal up until I started vyvanse 8 months ago.

History of elevated heart rate in doctors offices (usually around 90)

I just had my BP taken at the doctors which showed a reading of 144/104. Ever since starting vyvanse I have noticed my readings (and heart rate) has been quite high. I typically have a resting HR of 75. 90ish if im anxious - though during a panic attack i have seen it hit 120ish - with sliightly elevated BPs. But the last 6 months since starting vyvanse it is consistently in this range at every appt.

However; the doctor, nurse; resident; whoever happens to be taking my BP always says "its just anxiety" despite me not being anxious at the time.

This particular visit my heart rate was 108; I could feel my heart beating a bit hard; but I wasnt anxious; I would say maaaybe mildly nervous about my allergy test results? I am super familiar with how anxiety feels for me, as ive spent years coping with it and finding what works for me. This didnt feel like anxiety; and with my family health history im just a bit worried, but mostly confused why this keeps getting brushed off?

From what ive read; this absolutely isnt a normal reading, but im told that its "perfectly fine" and "youre just super anxious!"

Despite telling them that i am not feeling anxious at all. They usually say "yes you are i can tell!" Which is odd if im sitting there relaxed and speaking normally.

Any ideas? Id Ideally like if this got looked into due to family medical history, and/or if i need to switch medications. But whenever ive brought it up its immediately shut down for reasons above.

Ideas/tips/clarification on reading is appreciated!!

523 Portsmouth Place West - Cockroaches

I'm trying to spread awareness to other tenants and prospective tenants, as staff have been known to take down tenant made notices posted anywhere, and I dont often see my own neighbours!

This building currently has cockroaches. Please, if you live here, check your unit and request a treatment!! The prep for a first time treatment is so insanely easy. I have had my apartment monitored with like a dozen traps and bait, inspected, and thoroughly deep cleaned, and the nest is not here, and all traps are empty. I have lived here for 5 years and have never seen a cockroach before, but have found two German roaches in the last two months. They have not treated any adjacent units and until the units that hold nests are treated; this will only get worse!

Avoid this building right now especially if you have asthma, an existing medical condition, or kids.

-signed, a concerned tenant that does not want to live with roaches.

Do OSAP loans consolidate together on credit bureau reporting?

I have an OSAP loans with 2100 remaining from a 2 year diploma in 2023. It is still in repayment, though i went through some financial struggle last year, and was late on 8 of my payments. I did get retroactive RAP, however despite the loan being current and up to date, it is absolutely tanking my credit with those 8 delinquencies.

I am returning for an undergrad program in the fall, and am applying for OSAP. Since this student loan debt will be MUCH higher, I am wondering if anyone knows if these loans will be stacked onto my existing student loan on the credit bureaus? Meaning these 8 delinquencies will essentially carry over/through onto my undergrad loans, which would mean they will affect my credit for much longer.

Basically currently i have 8 delinquencies on a 3 year old student loan with 2100 remaining. After undergrad, if the balance will add to my existing student loan on the bureau; it would show 8 delinquencies on a 20k loan, which obviously looks much worse. I am basically wondering if i should do everything i can to pay off the 2100 before my new loans are disbursed to avoid the delinquencies affecting the new consolidated amount for years to come, since 20k will obviously take MUCH longer to pay off.

I hope what im asking makes sense!

Diffuse wall thickening

Hello! Im new here and just learned about this diagnosis in my obsessive googling.

I recently experienced some odd symptoms - lower pelvic pressure, extreme discomfort and pain when my bladder would begin to fill, and id get immediate relief upon voiding. I went to my doctor, who stated confidently that it was a UTI despite my symptoms not feeling like any UTI I had before. I was given 5 days of antibiotics and it was sent for a culture due to presence of white blood cells and blood (ive been having bleeding for months due to birth control implant, so this isnt confirmed to be in the urine itself)

Results came back negative for a culture, but they still insisted it was a UTI. I finished my antibiotics with worsening symptoms and went back. They again did a dip test and sent it for bacterial culture, which again was positive for white blood cells but no bacteria.

They said everything was fine and sent me home denying my request for imaging, and again stated it was just a UTI and the bacterial cultures didnt pick it up. My swabs were also all negative, and ive never had an STI.

I decided to go to a private clinic instead who sent me for imaging, however the wait was over a month. Within a few weeks my symptoms have mostly resolved, though i do notice the quite frequent urge to go. It doesnt feel extreme or immediately urgent but it is very annoying and odd for me, and definitely more than it used to be even 3 months ago.

The ultrasound showed everything was normal including residual void (17cc from 220cc prevoid) except it stated i had "mild diffuse bladder wall thickening of 6mm" pre void.

No one has called me and im just confused as to whats happening and what this means. Has anyone experienced similar and went on to get a diagnosis for IC? unsure how to advocate for further testing. I did have some pretty severe urine retention after I gave birth 4 years ago, that was displacing my uterus and required a catheter for a week at home. They believed it was caused by the epidural. I have had 3 PVR scans since then and residual void has shown normal. I have also had 2 ultrasounds since this and none noted thickening bladder wall.

This just feels sudden and random, and I am worried about cancer as well (long time smoker, trying to quit, im only 26)

Anyways, just hoping to hear some similar stories, and how you advocated for your care so I can maybe get some answers.

Rv remodel

So my partner and I purchased our first camper; a 2000 fleetwood terry 27X (28ft), and it of course had ✨️undisclosed water damage✨️ so we have had to gut almost half of it. Im moving my attention to the exterior to try and save my sanity. Anyways, the exterior is in pretty rough shape, and our original plan was to completely redo it, however our budget has now mostly gone towards clearing out interior rot; walls, frames, flooring, roof, and leak repairs.

Anyway,

What kind of paint would y'all recommend? It is weathered and quite chalky. The red stripe color rubs off on your hand with minimal effort. The decals are BAKED on, faded, and shattered. My plan is to use TSP substitute, decal wheel remover, and an electric sander for prep.

I'm in canada for reference of product availability, and weathering.

The exterior is fiberglass, but again, suuuper flat, chalky and terrible looking.

I plan to use a combo of roll on, and a basic HLVP sprayer.

I seem to be able to only find marine topside paint in 1 quart cans for 60$, which i would probably need like 8-10 of. Hoping for something that would still look nice, glossy, durable, but isnt 600$ in paint 🫠 i understand it wont look professional by any means, but nice is good enough!

Hello! Please talk to me like I know nothing - because I dont 😂

My partner and I just got our very first trailer/RV ever and plan to park it on a seasonal campground in a few weeks.

Wondering what I should be getting to hold the trailer in place? Stabilizer Jacks? Leveling whatchamacallits?

Suggestions on what to buy for a good and solid setup would be great!

Its a 2001 Fleetwood, 27ft, I believe the dry weight is around 4400lbs.

-I am in canada if that makes a difference; it will be parked over the winter at the site, so will need to be solid both through the heat of the summer as well as *heavy* ice, snow, and wind.

Thank you!!!
