Screw Beans, Lentils are where its at
I'm mostly joking, I love beans too. BUT if you guys are struggling incorporating legumes into your diet, lentils are a lot easier to cook. This doesn't make a difference if you just eat canned, but cooking from dried is better and would highly recommend it. The main reason I prefer cooking lentils is because you don't need to soak them, and the cooking time is at most 25 min, depending on the type.
They are also arguably easier to incorporate into a sauce because of their size. A meal I make a lot is basically a bolognese pasta dish but with lentils instead of meat. It tastes amazing and is very healthy for you.
I think if yall knew how great it is to eat lentils it would help more of you move towards being vegan or vegetarian. Try it out. Instead of your next meal having meat, try lentils instead.
