Replacing 2014 Pro

I’ve been using my MacBook Pro from 2014, but it’s starting to be unable to keep up with simple tasks. It was top of the line at the time in 2014. I’ve been looking at the MacBook Neo to replace it, just wondering if I’ll be happy with the transition performance wise.

For reference, I mostly use my laptop for relatively simple CAD for 3d printing and general internet browsing.

Ring edge flare

I’m brand new to the jewelry making world. I made my first couple rings recently and noticed that they all tend to flare out along the edges after being sized on the mandrel. It’s hard to see in the picture, easier to feel. What’s the right way to make sure that doesn’t happen while also maintaining the size and overall shape of the ring?

Custom 50% Beaver Cattleman

I recently made this cattleman in Anthracite for a coworker, I think it turned it very well! Custom shaped to his head! Black python skin band. Added a silver twisted toothpick after taking the pictures. Last photo is a happy customer!

For those of you who make hats, how are you deciding whether to use a #51 or #52 block for different crown styles?

Attached photo is a recent hat I made, just to make this post a bit more interesting.

▲ 2 r/BambuLabP2S+1 crossposts

I recently started using a Bambu p2s and overall, I am extremely happy with the out of the box usability. My most recent print got these little bubbles in the top layers which I’ve never seen before.

I used 0.12mm layer height out of a 0.4 nozzle. I used variable layer height and turned off one wall on top layers. It’s printed in Bambu PETG Basic which was brand new out of the packaging when it started last night. It’s using an AMS with new desiccant packets but no heating yet, humidity was about 28-31% throughout the print (11 hours).

Is there anything I can do to fix these on upcoming prints?
