Rooftops for New Year’s Eve in NYC

Hello everyone! Me and my wife are going to pass NYE in a rooftop bar in NYC and we are down to 4 options which are

  1. 230 fifth
  2. Magic Hour
  3. Elsie
  4. Rt60

We are kind of undecided on which one to pick, to give an overview we value a good view the most, and as for the ambiance we would like not too formal but not too full party mode either. Any recommendation would help, thanks in advance!

Froze up and think I should have fought back

Few months ago I had a run in with someone who works next to my office, I was sitting down and dude was standing up and he started threatening me saying he was gonna beat the crap out of me, at first I didn’t bother but then I saw him putting his hand briefly in his pocket so I did my best to deescalate the situation because I didn’t know what he could have in his pocket. Well after that it turned out he wasn’t the thug he claimed to be and probably just took advantage of the fact I was sitting down and he’s at the least 20 years older (I was 26 at the time). Thing is I forgot the situation in a few days but now recently I’ve started to think about it again (he still works next to me and when I see him I wish he got in my face again to have an excuse to fight him) and can’t help but think I shoukd have just stood up and fought regardless if he had something in his pocket or not, so my question pretty much is how should I have handled it differently, if it was even possible

How safe is Hoboken?

Hello, me and my GF are going to NYC in december but for price reasons we are looking at places in Jersey. We saw a place in Hoboken that we think could be good but we have never been to either Jersey or NY so we are not sure about what areas are good or not. For reference, it’s close to a place Caled Elysian Cafe. Is the area good or are there any safety concerns? We appreciate all the help

Forgetting unpleasant situations

I don’t know if this is the correct sub. If it isn’t I guess the mods will take it down. Title is self explanatory, I have a very hard time forgetting unpleasant situations and just letting stuff “go”.

Example 1: the girl I’m dating had partners before me (not many) and thinking about particularly one of them angers me beyonf belief, even though she was with him around 10 years ago now

Example 2: around august last year, I was sitting outside the office at work, a guy that works in the business besides the one I work with, we had a disagreement and he started yelling at me saying he was gonna kick my ass and this and that. It caught me so off guard that I just kept sitting down and tried to de escalate the situation, and even though he didn’t do anything to me, he just yelled, I still think about that situation sometimes and in my head I wish he would have actually started a fight so that I had an excuse to defend myself because I’m 100% sure I would have won. At the end the guy ended up being a total coward, for context I was 26 and he has at least 15-20 years on me, so he probably saw I was younger and tried to take advantage, but when my father found out (I work with him) he called him went off on the dude, dude got his tail between his legs, apologized a lot and said he was in our service for anything we needed, but it still makes me mad I didn’t do anything when he yelled at me. And since we work next to each other I see him often and it pisses me off a lot of the times I see him.

One thing that happens to me is like I unconsciously replay these situations in my head and it’s like a little constant voice that’s there. Be it the first or the second example

So basically my question is how do I forget stuff that although unpleasant happened long ago. example 1 was around 10 years ago and example 2 was around 1 year

Where to stay in NYC

Hello. I am looking to travel with my wife to New York and we are a little lost on where to book a hotel. Our budget is around $1200-$1400 for a 6 night stay. Is there anywhere that we can realistically stay for that price? If there are, which are your recommendations? Thanks to everyone in advancf

DMC5 freezing on PS5?

Hello everyone. I bought DMC5 ps4 disc to play on my ps5 and I noticed some things. First the game took forever to load from the PS5 home screen into the game and then in the opening cinematic (the drawn one explaining the series lore) I had constant freezes and audio desync. And it continued when starting the story mode. Does this have to do with playing the PS4 version on PS5? Anyone experienced the same or know how to fix it? I really wanna play this game but it’s impossible with the constant freezes

Freezing on PS5?

Hello. Yesterday I downloaded Detroit from the Ps Store for free with Ps Plus and right away I noticed some things. The game took forever to load from the PS5 home screen and while starting the opening scene I had constant freezes from the get go. Does this tend to happen when playing on PS5?

He has fallen

Tbh I overprepared but still, I think it’s fair because the dude can literally wipe your whole party of the canvas in a single turn and to me that’s a borderline cheese on his part lmao. And no, I didn’t look up a one shot build (I’ll be honest the only time I actually looked up a one shot build is for Clea unleashed, I tried to do it fairly at first but when I reached phase 2 I said fuck no lmao), I just stacked every damage Lumina under the friggin sun on Maelle for phase 1 and Lune for Phase 2 (fun fact: I almost never used Lune for post game so when I saw she one shotted his second phase I almost screamed in disbelief lmao). Anyway I can finally say I’m done with everything in this game, and what an absolute masterpiece it was

The moment has arrived

I have a pretty decent build so I have a 5x enemy health multiplier so that I don’t break the game, let’s see if I don’t have to turn it off lmao
