Remind me to never buy Marie Callendar's again.

I'm working out of town again (see earlier post from a couple months ago) and staying at the cabin.

Don't feel much like cleaning a ton of cast iron every night (all pots and pans up here are cast iron), so I bring frozen meals with me - tonight's disappointment is beef and broccoli, but it's basically a quarter serving of meat and vegetables on two cups of rice.

It doesn't really taste bad, but I'd have to eat like three of these to put down the veggie and protein content I need to fuel up for work, and I'm kicking myself for not prepping/freezing venison spaghetti like I meant to do.

Marie? Never again lol.

Last night's disappointment was their "Beef pot roast," which contained roughly six tiny chunks of mystery beef, the saddest celery I've ever seen, some shredded carrot, and a few potatoes swimming in like two cups of thin broth

Thank the stars the boss's ma cooks like she's trying to put us all in a coma for lunch every day, 'cause Marie got me over here matching my flair IRL 😅

Going home for a short visit tomorrow night and I swear I'ma prep that damn spaghetti lol

Possibly sick or injured crow

I came home this evening to find a possibly sick or injured crow in my front yard. When I took a step towards it to see if I could get a better idea of what’s wrong, several nearby crows flew towards me so I quickly went inside. I called a couple of wildlife orgs, but everything is closed until tomorrow. I checked my ring cam footage and it looks like it came into the yard earlier today. One or two other crows have stayed with it all day. This video is when it first showed up on camera, and since this afternoon it’s basically been stuck on the ground with others watching out for it.

Any ideas what might be wrong? The sounds it’s making seem awful :(
