Day 3 of living in our new build our Lab has already successfully gone outside, ran past my wife before she could wipe her paws and tracked mud through our entire house and on our brand new carpet and couch…

Looking for suggestions to help with some of the clay and mud during winter. The goal is to lay Sir Walter Buffalo grass in the backyard but what can we do to get us through till then to help prevent the spread of the clay/mud through our house and help improve the soil before laying the grass.

We’ve taken to putting down leftover cardboard from furniture in our backyard as it’s currently just wet and muddy in Victoria but that’s only doing so much.

Please help lol.

Our new build has just reached practical completion and our PCI invoice has been sent out to Macquarie Bank, what is the average wait time for Macquarie to come out and complete valuations and paying final invoice?

Also now that our build is complete, will the loan switch to principle + interest or we can just wait till our interest only expires/request to be changed to principle + interest?

Handover for our new build is in the first two weeks of June, couple of issues… our entire yard is clay and is quite muddy, slippery, and sticky when wet.

We also have a dog who will need to regularly go outside to go potty and I REALLY don’t want dirt and mud all over our brand new house.

What precautions should I take if I’m going to lay grass during winter?

I’m looking at Sir Walter Buffalo because I’ve heard it’s the preferred for homes with furry things that like to run laps around the yard. Is this a good choice?

For a bit of background, I’m American but I’ve lived in Australia for going on 5 years and I’ve noticed this happens quite regularly and I’ve never noticed it back in America. People generally don’t use their phone aside of texting at restaurants.

I frequent a local Vietnamese restaurant, without fail every single time there’s a person either waiting for takeout/sat down eating who makes a phone call/watch videos full volume in the restaurant. I think it’s important to note, that it’s Australians and others.

I would consider this to be inappropriate behavior for people visiting restaurants even if they are sit down/take out restaurants.

Is this normal for everyone here? Is it a cultural thing? It’s not normal in America, but is it normal here?
