21 in Mower 24x2

Hey I have the 21 inch self propelled mower with the 2 24v batteries. It says that its supposed to be good for up to 1/2 acres and I have about 4000 sqft yard. The issue is that the mower barely gets through a quarter of it before the batteries run out. Also it constantly chokes and turns off. I saw that it does this to protect the motor from overheating but it happens constantly, I basically have to slow walk half the time to get it to cut without turning off.

I usually cut to 3 inches and at most my grass is at 8 inches. I had 2 24v 5A batteries and I even bought a spare pair of 24v 6A batteries and even with both sets, I can do like 70-80% of the yard.

Is this normal or is my mower just defective? Thought this would be enough based on the specs but honestly its becoming such a pain to cut that Im about to get rid of it and either pay someone or go with a completely different brand?

[Tech Support] Gaming/Chat mix on Audiophile headsets

I want to get some wired more audiophile quality headsets. I have heard good things about the ROG Kithara and some IEMs. The issue is that I really like the separate audio controllers for chat and gaming that come with most of the gaming headsets. I would like to keep that with the new headphones.

Is anyone aware of some software or way that I could get a separate channels for the chat and gaming?

I have seen the gaming style dacs online but I dont wanna spend another 150 on them and they also take up alot of desk space. I have also thought of just getting 2 usb sound cards and using them to drive normal-ish dac with 2 channel mixing but thats my last resort because it creates alot more failure points in the future.

Setup recommendations

So I am new to Reolink, just bought an 8 camera bundle with 16 channel NVR that I was on sale. They are POE cameras.

This is the model, RLK16-410B8-5MP. I think the cameras are the B500.

My question comes to the setup. Since Im obviously wiring all the cameras and they are going to be external, I am planning to separate the external wiring from the internal wiring. So each camera will have its ethernet leading to the interior and then a separate wire from the entry location to the switch.

I am unsure how to best connect it. Should I get a POE switch and connect them to the switch and then from the switch to the NVR or should I just get like a mini patch panel and connect them to the NVR independently?

Any other recommendations or lessons learned?

Thanks in advance

Web App Development

Hey yall,

Most of my experience is in hardware, application development using C/C++/python. I have never really cared for web dev so I neglected it but I have a personal project Im working on and I want to built a web page for it and eventually a web app. I dont think this will be consumer focused and mostly just personal use but I was wondering what is the new new in web dev.

What language should I build in? I have some experience in vue.js but not enough that I would default to it and if Im going to do it then I want to start with some of the more modern newer interesting stuff.

Whats the best or the most stable also? Any information you wanna blurt out is acceptable.

Want to start wrapping

Hey yall,

new to the sub, checked out the intro post and had alot of good info and was a great place to start.

I looked around and what I didnt find are some recommendations. I want to get a beginner friendly wrap that is pretty cheap so I can buy and replace consistently to get into the hang of it. I dont know about going with the hella cheap stuff on temu or if I should spend a little more on better quality.

What are yalls recommendations? Brands would be helpful or specs to look for when buying.

Thanks

HOA Board references documents that do not exist [SFH][FL]

Hey yall,

I recently moved into a new community with a builder board for the HOA. It hasnt been a lot of problem except for a lot of non actions on things. The main issue is that the builder installed an oak tree on the front (which will eventually tear up everything) and I want to remove it before it matures. The HOA references a list of approved canopy trees, which do not exist anywhere in the documents provided and when asked for said list, they are returned as part of a message and not an official document that is posted anywhere.

They are telling me that palm trees are not allowed because it is not in the list, however, they have approved both my neighbors to put up palm trees recently and a more than half of the new home just built have palm trees in the front.

So my questions are, can they use "list of approved canopy trees" and never actually provide that list except by email messages? Can they treat builder differently and give them permission to do things that are not allowed according to their documentation?

If they gave me any other reason sure but to tell me no because they arent part of the approved trees list and then let more than half the community do it seems crazy.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

FreeCAD constant freezing

I have a pretty top end computer.

  • Ryzan R7900x3D
  • 64gb of ram
  • 7900xt graphics card

For whatever reason, everytime I do anything to modify a 3d print, the program freezes for like 30 seconds, becomes unresponsive and either fully crashes or continues to work after the operation.

Is this normal or did I mess up a setting? I feel like I shouldnt be having this many issues especially when I see tutorials and they are get an instant response.

Creality Print

I know how to use autocad but I have never used anything else for 3D modeling.

I tried using the creality print software itself but its not the easiest to use and I cant seem to find a straight forward tutorial. Also doing weird stuff like made by 3d drag icon, for things like cut, super tiny and its barely usable.

Does anyone have any good full fledged tutorials for this software or should I just learn to use blender or something else instead?
