I have two Pentax *ist DS.

Camera 1) has a bad sensor and a good board.

Camera 2) has seemingly a bad SD card reader (SD locked error no matter the SD card 1-4gb) and a good sensor.

Has anybody changed a board without having to unsolder the board on one of these cameras? OR any idea of how to get the SD reader to work. It's not the memory card, I know that for a fact.

20 year old technology is proving to be a bit more difficult than I'm used to. Any tips are appreciated.

Has anybody tried making any syrups or drinks with these? Specifically the Langka. That sounds like a fun one to experiment with.
