Question about an outcome as Shadowheart with the Nightsong

I just thought of a particular scenario and was wondering if anyone could tell me what happens in this specific case: if you let Balthazar take the Nightsong and have Shadowheart in your party, she leaves you.

But what happens if you are Shadowheart and make this decision, so you are not killing nor freeing the Nightsong. What happens?

Do you become a Selunite after your fight against Ketheric and Myrkul's Apostle? Something else?

I'm really curious to know how the game resolves that plot point in those circumstances!

Why the other chosen treat Ketheric like a subordinate?

I'm on my second run and I just watched the scene where you see Orin, Gortash and the Elder Brain for the first time, under Moonrise Tower, taunting Ketheric and treating him like crap because he hasn't secured the Astral Prism yet.

The guy has Aylin chained in the room, Ketheric is invincible and yet Orin puts a dagger on his torso and he looks threatened. They treat him like a subordinate of their plans despite Ketheric being just stronger than the two others. The guy **cannot** die.

I don't understand the power dynamic at all here, could someone elaborate this to me a bit please?

Edit: I never freed the Nightsong, Ketheric never lost his invincibility.

Edit²: in the next scene, Ketheric does make a villain speech where he reveals his plan. It seems like Myrkul wants Ketheric to be obedient so the trio doesn't fall apart, until he can take over. This makes a bit more sense to me that he is pulling his punches (for the time being).

Beat Conquest Lunatic deathless without cheesing the Endgame

What a ride this run was! As a preface, I play without DLC, path rewards, renown, basically anything that we don't get on the main route.

I thought that not having a robust cheese strat for the endgame would be the end of me, and I'll write it now for those here looking for a strategy: the two rescue staves are key to succeeding, but you don't need pass, just really good unit placement.

I had Mozu nuke the three maids with enfeeble on three turns to then bring her back to the core of my army with a rescue staff. Those maids bombard you with debuffs until your army is crippled to death and **are** your main targets. If you have the Silence staff it definitely helps, I didn't (I destroyed Ryoma).

The infinite reinforcements are **not** a big issue and I had none explode on me because they'd always die before they could, so don't be afraid of them **but** pay very close attention to the skills they are bearing. Just keep in mind that the units holding their spawn will be hit by Takumi's wave attack so make sure they are tanky enough to resist that and the faceless' attacks.

Elise as a Malig Knight made short work of the oni chieftains at the beginning: both their res and mag are low so they are easily killable in the enemy phase.

This map is a lot about timings, the main event being the 8 mounted units that start rushing you at the end of turn 4. I recommend that you do not engage with the generals, ninjas and malig knights until you've gotten rid of that cavalry or you will be overwhelmed. The dark knights will come with warding blow, 9 mov and 2 range so you will welcome them with a physical attacker with two range: archer or hunter's knife (in my case it was Camilla as a Mechanist). With 2 of them dead on the enemy phase, that's six left for you to handle in a turn with 16 units, this is definitely doable.

The middle of the map is the true bottleneck: tanky generals, ninjas with inevitable end, and those nasty malig knights that hit quite hard: baiting the generals/ninjas will not trigger the malig knights so you can proceed in two steps, that's my recommandation. Then it's the classic strategy: your high Mag units will obliterate the generals as your strong physical units will eliminate the ninjas.

Once you are past them the map is basically won because you are left with the great masters, faceless and that nasty duo of malig knights that spawns around Turn 10 at the bottom-right. Just entrap the bozos because they are not reachable otherwise.

Then it's just you and Takumi, in my case it was a one turn kill with all the auras stacking on Kamui and Azura allowing her to strike again. I recommend charging the shield gauge on the great masters to prevent a vengeance counter-attack killing you.

In the end, the endgame took me less time than Chapter 26, which I'll place in the top difficulty alongside Chapter 10 and Paralogue 22 (Nina).

If anyone from the future will be reading this and in need of recommendations: feel free to DM me.

What is everyone's opinion on this? I think I've made some pretty good builds and I'm quite proud of managing to beat this game 100% legit.
