Hex, but not exactly counters...Commands and Colors Samurai Battles

This is my condo/travel friendly version. The blocks spin to show losses along the edge. For travel it fits in a 20mm thick plastic document carrier. Takes up very little table space, roughly 18x12".

Scenario 2 Arita Castle 1517AD at set-up.

Gromdark Firefight

Gave up on 40k. Really liking Grimdark Firefight. 3 player smash and grab, 300 points.

Is Donald Trump out of the closet yet?

Worst kept secret in DC is that 47 is gay. I mean, he loves interior decorating, and fashion. He gets his taste from Liberace as well as Siegfried and Roy. He loves many men like Putin, Kim Jong Un and that Egyptian dude. He loves YMCA, loves to dance with that "double dick hand-job" move he patented. Melania is clearly *done* with being his beard. Barron looks nothing like him.

Why won't MAGA just accept him for the big, stinky gay man he is?

Mytravel kit

I'm off next week for vacation. I always like to take a little solo game, and this trip it's my home made Crusades C&C kit. 9x12x1" case. Great for playing on a hotel desk or in an airport lounge.

1:6000 Figurehead Naval Model Clearance @ Scale Creep Miniatures

Hi Guys: I dug out my last (very) few remaining packs of Figurehead 1:6000 naval models. There are a handful of modern Russians, and a smattering of WW1 and WW2 packs. I have marked them all down. 99% of them are just $2.00 per pack. Get them while they're hot.

You'll find them at ScaleCreep.com and you can find pictures of the models at LastSquare.com A great way to fill in a few holes or add some cheap ships for bombing targets etc.

Picture for attention

My next project

My next project, a SciFi terrain city in 15mm I'm calling "Trash Eisley." Accumulated packages, bits and bobs that will get spray painted and converted into a sprawling hub of scum and villainy.

Never Have I Ever (Confession Time)

Bought an inferior product because it had packaging with great kitbash potential.

Bought a tiny paint brush thinking that NOW I'd be able to painy those tiny, tiny details.

Your turn.

What color treads on Akkaris?

I'm debating tread colors. Setting is a red planet, and I don't want to go metallic. Rust? Something odd like gray green?

Why does anyone still live in Gotham City?

Between the alien invasions, gas attacks, evil warlocks, etc. etc. Seriously, why would anyone stay? How do they afford it? Insurance premiums have to be through the roof! Better to be unemployed in Des Moines and living in your car than in Gotham. I mean, Batman can only do so much.....

A question for racing fans

Curious. If there were no rules, you can build any car you like. BUT you don't know in advance whst kind of course you're racing on, except that its paved. Might be a banked oval, or city streets, or an F1 course. Could be hilly.

What kind of car do you build?

Power armor for Akkaris / Nuude

I threw a coat of paint and a wash on this bad boy just to check out the detail before I settle on a paint scheme. These will be forces of the Emperor Shazbat IV.

Alternative to 40k for big battles?

The club have decided 40k is just too fiddly. So we're looking for an alternative. We have a lot of "small" games we like but are looking for a big battle set of rules:

  • Armies should feel different. Orcs are not bugs are not space rangers
  • BIG battles. Like, hundreds of minis per side and suitable for 4-8 players on a 6x12 table.
  • Good blend of infantry and vehicle rules

I'm currently reading Mantic's Firefight and also Grimdark Future...

Is this too tall?

I'm working on a 6mm "not-Dune" game and need to build fortress walls. Decided to go DIY papercraft. Imagine a turret on top of the tower. Do you think it's too tall compared to the house and sand crawler?
