I'm a 2026 CS graduate, and I currently have two job offers, one for an AI/ML role and another for a Backend Developer role. I haven't received the official offer letters yet, but I should be getting them soon.

For the AI/ML role, I don't know the exact tech stack yet. From what I found online, it seems to mainly involve Python, and the salary is around ₹2.5 LPA (as far as I could find). The company is a mid-sized company.

The Backend Developer role is at a startup that was founded about a year ago. It has now grown into a proper company and was recently acquired by a large MNC. The salary is around ₹3.6 LPA. The tech stack includes Node.js, Go, and related backend technologies.

I'm not choosing purely based on salary. I'm more interested in choosing the role that will give me the best long-term growth, learning opportunities, and career prospects.

What should I choose?

I used to read a ton when I was a kid, but then I got a phone about four years ago, and that pretty much stopped. I just graduated, which means I'm basically unemployed right now. My screen time is at least 9 hours a day, sometimes even more, and I really want to cut it down.

Here are some authors and books I used to enjoy:

- Dan Brown

- Stephen King

- Harry Potter (my childhood favorite)

- The Girl on the Train

- The Phoenix by Sidney Sheldon

- Mostly thrillers

- Sometimes romance, even the steamy kind

The last book I finished was 13 Reasons Why. I read it in three days, but that was about eight months ago.

I can't really remember the rest of the books I've read.

Right now, I have these books:

- Dead Man's Folly by Agatha Christie

- Sapiens

- The Kite Runner

- Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami

No matter what I try, I usually fall asleep after about ten minutes of reading. My attention span is ridiculously bad. I really want to get back into reading.

My main goal is to eventually read authors like Murakami and Dostoevsky, but with my current attention span, getting into books like theirs feels impossible.

Any tips on how to start reading again? I'd genuinely love to get back to picking up books and reading like I used to.
