Remember to help your cat too cool down in the heatwave
Just a quick reminder for the people in europe that don't have an AC like me to help them cool down!
Brushing helps a lot obviously, some like to get pet with wet towels!
You can lay down multiple wet towels in your Apartment to give them places to cool off.
Also place a few more bowls with drinking water just in case and refill them atleast daily.
Remember, your cats/animals have fur and if you are hot they are most likely too! The difference is that they can not tell you and do nothing about that.
I would appreciate more tips that could help!

>I would keep inside and limit play during the worst of the heat. Hot humidity makes it harder to breathe too, so if that's something you're experiencing also, a dehumidifier may help. Frozen water bottles under towels around the cat bed or lounge area can also help if it doesn't spook them. If the breathing is really labored, you may look into a cat inhaler if the heat persists.

I made icecubes, and she plays with them in bathtub and sinks. Get their paws cooled down and it will lower their body temp.
I keep her in my bathroom during max heat hours 12-16. Its quiet, and she gets a good nap. She has water, kibble, litter and shade.
Playtime is very, very limited during daytime.
I watch her each hour if she is in bathroom. I also need to pee anyway 😄
She does not eat much during the day, but neither do i - she gets a lot of snacks.
She has access to water bowls in every room, multiple places.
She only had one episode of heavy breathing. She was just as surprised as i, and it happened just after her doing her parkour around the flat. No more parkour for her. She got that 😊
