Grinding/vibration normal on lowest gear? (Smallest cog)

My folder come with 1x8 speed and I've done all the necessary adjustment. H limit screws, L limit, B screw, indexing and all that. On stationary test everything is fine, no chain rubbing but when I took it on a ride I feel some grinding/vibration on the lowest gear. Kinda like "grrg, grrg, grrg" and I can feel it on my pedal. Is this something to worry about? Should I make further adjustment?

Just got my new bike, is the shifter supposed to be slipping?

Just bought my first fold, or first of any kind of bike since grade school lol. It comes with Sensah MX8 thumb shifter but I noticed it doesn't grip the handlebars fully. I've tightened the clamp as tight as I'm comfortable with but still slipping if I give it a good push though not with normal shifting push/pull during a ride. Is it normal or should I add some kind of grip tape on the clamp?
