Images flashing red! Please help!

Anyone know what causes these red borders flashing randomly? Some PNG/image clips on the timeline keep randomly blinking red, like when media is missing. But the files are not actually missing, because the preview still plays correctly.

The weird part is that when a clip blinks red, the effect controls panel also glitches: Transform and other effects for that clip appear/disappear as if Kdenlive is losing the clip state and then restoring it.

I tried clearing the current project cache, including audio/video thumbnails, but it did not change anything. Timeline preview and proxy clips are both 0 B. Reloading/relinking the image sometimes fixes it temporarily, but then the blinking comes back randomly.

Has anyone seen this before? Is this a known bug with still images/PNG clips, Transform effects, or project/media cache?

I'm on Ubuntu 24.04 and Kdenlive 26.04.2 (app image)

PS I can render the project just fine as though nothing is wrong!

What proportion of Flat-Earthers are religiously motivated?

The few I met in real life were completely and utterly religiously motivated into believing flat-earth.

But I have seen many online who didn’t seem to have religious motivations like I usually see in creationists.

What has been your experience!?

IF you yourself are a flat-earther, please indicate and share your perspectiv.

What proportion of evolution denialists are motivated by religion?

In my personal life experience, I have never come across anyone who questioned evolution and it wasn’t due to their religious creationist views.

As a result, to me, it feels like the bigger issue isn’t a lack of education but the prevalence of creationist indoctrination.

There’s so many weird ass scientific ideas and findings that people don’t care about to even have an opinion on. But the moment any idea overlaps with established creationist narratives about our origins, all of a sudden people start caring about having opinions on these ideas.

Has this been your experience too? Do you find that almost 100% of the time someone challenges evolution, it’s religiously motivated?

Many of us are just learning how to package and a lot of our older videos have some of our worst titles/thumbnails.

I just noticed that I keep getting trickles of views on those early videos. Meaning that YouTube didn't entirely write them off. Which makes me think, should I spend some time and redo the packaging for them?

Also, how would you determine which ones need repackaging? Solely based on some CTR threshold?

I wish there was a way we could tag our contents long, short, live , etc and then be able to always auto filter content and show us only the ones we care about.

A lot of the time, reading through post after post halfway only to realise it doesn’t apply to you feels super unintentionally clickbaity!

To be honest, long, short and LIVE should probably be their own sub reddits. As a long form creator, I find haunt short and live on here just as useful as reading a TIKTOK or TWITCH subReddit! Not a lot in common!

Speaking of fantasy what-ifs, it is time someone at least starts a NewTubersGamingChannels subreddit or similar. I am sure it’d explode in popularity in no time given the number of people I see starting a gaming channel.
