Dad needing oxygen. Completely clueless where to start?

My dad’s oxygen is low enough (dropped to 87 prior to walk test) that they couldn’t do walk test and gave him oxygen instead. Now he’s prescribed oxygen. But I have no idea where to go from here and how to get that device
He’s EXTREMELY reluctant, skeptical and mildly depressed about it.

I don’t know if he’s going to want to spend thousands of dollars (or several hundreds) for oxygen concentrator. So I’m preferring to get him a small or portable one. Are there any recommended brands?

What does this all constitute? Please someone explain it to me like I’m 5 year old. We need a service and a nasal cannula and that’s it?

My Amazon search is showing me columns, batteries and backpacks. It’s incredibly confusing!

Also, he has medicare. Does it typically cover that?

One last question, has anyone been able to be weaned off oxygen or is this something that only gets worse with COPD and recurrent lung infections?

Anyone’s cat has heart problem and survived anesthesia?

Need some encouragement or stories.

My cat may or may not have GI blockage as he ate a piece of a rubber ball last week. He has heart condition (HCM) which is more on the mild-moderate side.

And I’m terrified of the possibility that he needs be opened up to get it out.

I’m just here to prepare myself for the worst. Surgery is terrifying

Cat in critical condition — blockage possibility

My cat ate part of a rubber ball 6 days ago. He had no symptoms initially (pooped and peed and ate daily for 4 days after the incident)
Then Monday night I see him eating a gigantic mosquito.

The next day the following happens: woke up lethargic, had an asthma attack (hadn’t had those in years), threw up every meal he ate.
Although he seemed different he was still playful and hunts bugs.
Today he woke up starving and acting normal.

But the vomiting continued. He couldn’t keep anything not even 1 teaspoon of wet food diluted with wayter.

I called a vet to come in and give him SQ lactate ringers and augmentin in crease it’s gastritis or infection.
I thought if it’s blockage it’s unlikely to show up 5 days after normal behavior.

But after the vet visit, I fed him a couple more times (1 teaspoon of wet food only coupled with teaspoon of water each time)… and he got SIGNIFICANTLY worse. He is hiding. Seems in pain. Keeps licking his lips.

The last 6 hours he looks like he’s almost non responsive to anything. He did pee though and is breathing normally

I’m taking him to do X-rays in a couple hours.

But I just want to know what’s success rate for blockage surgeries in cats who have mild-moderate type of heart disease?

How much are we supposed to feed from this because if I'm going by the serving recommended (about 60 grams of dry food for my 9 lb cat) he would turn morbidly obese.

I'm literally weighing out his food. And it comes out to be about 130 calories a day. That's way below the average. Almost half!

Edit:
These are nutrition values from z/d labels I have:
DRY food: 377 kcal/100g
Wet food: 173 calories/can

I'm feeding him ONLY 15 grams of dry food (56.55 calories) + half a can of wet food (86.5 calories).
Total calories: 143 calories.

The math is impossible unless: The Z/D dry calories are massively understated on the label.
