Hello - I've gotten a new PC and been trying to figure out how to install Sims 2 Bodyshop but running into issues. The main method now seems to be using a MTS download, but it keeps triggering my anti-virus. Is this a false positive, or is the file actually dangerous and, if so, is there an alternative method that I can use or do I just have to bite the bullet and have no bodyshop (which sorta sucks as it has more options to customize sims than the game itself does)?

I was interested in trying this game and generally I like to install basic bug fixes and patches before playing, but to say this one is a pain in the ass I can’t get to work is an understatement. First it’s running into false flag issues with my antivirus issues; even when I seemed to finally get past that, the installer was just running into some kind of script error (?) and refusing to cooperate. Had zero help trying to troubleshoot online and more or less just decided it feels like it’s not worth the effort.

Assuming I just say fuck it, however seriously are the bugs it fixes? I didn’t exactly look through the change log since I’ve not played the game, but didn’t know if it’s actually worth trying to to troubleshoot this PITA (some type of fan patch is certainly essential for VTMB, for example) or if it’s not really that big a deal
