Eyam, plague village, what a superb village.

I was fascinated to read all the plaques in the village and see the whole plague story come together as we explored the relationship with the local villages.
It’s quite magnificent and stoic how this village isolated themselves to keep the plague from spreading,
In the village a couple of good tea rooms and went back in the evening for dinner at the Miners Arms for the best steak and mushroom pie I’ve tasted for years, and an excellent local ale too.

Brown Dipper.

I’ve been in the Peak District a week and finally spotted a Dipper at Youlgrave.
